Now that LBP2 has been released, has anyone found like a hidden area that has a space where you can input the code? Cuz I don't see any other reason for it being there... :/ | 2011-01-24 21:35:00 Author: Richasackboy Posts: 619 |
I think it was a beta code or something? The codes are supposed to be longer though, so I'm not 100% sure :/ | 2011-01-24 21:36:00 Author: googleit36 Posts: 50 |
I believe it's the numbers needed to type "free love" into a mobile phone text inout thingy. | 2011-01-24 21:39:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
Wait, where'd you see this? O.o | 2011-01-24 23:24:00 Author: ChazFox Posts: 132 |
Set the controls to the heart of the Negativitron, Pt1, in the arcade, in the last machine, input the Konami Code (up, up, down, down, Left, right, left, right, X, O. The machine will explode, revealing the code. | 2011-01-25 00:38:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Wooooah. I had no idea you could do that. My respect for MediaMolecule has increased tenfold, and it was already very high to begin with! XD EDIT: Hm. Nothing happens. I've tried using the DPad and both sticks, but nothing happens when I input the code (And when I press O I just jump out so I don't know if it actually counts that.) EDIT 2: Ah! Got it. It's not the very last machine, it's the broken one that the Sackbot's repairing. XD I thought you meant the machine just next to the level link. | 2011-01-25 00:49:00 Author: ChazFox Posts: 132 |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fA8aTRv1Is When looking at the numbers on a home phone or something like that you will see the code spells out "Free Love" | 2011-01-25 03:14:00 Author: chinook3 Posts: 453 |
I really think you should at least get a pin for finding this. Someone could play this game for years and not know about it. | 2011-01-25 08:17:00 Author: The Last Stop Posts: 240 |
I've never liked "secret codes" in a game... I mean what are the chances of you randomly pressing that sequence of buttons just by chance when sitting in that broken arcade machine? - pretty slim I would wager. So the only way you can find out about this is from other people, there is no way in game to discover this by yourself. At least nowadays we have the internet to look up these secrets... but I remember back in the day, before the advent of the internet - when your only hope of finding out these secret codes was to buy an over-priced games magazine. But, at least there is no benefit to this secret, so it's not that bad. | 2011-01-25 11:45:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
Wow, so that's what the arcade game is for! I'd just dismissed it as having no purpose. We really need a list or something of all the Easter eggs that have been found so far... | 2011-01-27 00:58:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |

Well i think God Glitch helped on this one ;] besides this is easter egg Cheat codes in other hand was made for porpoise of debugging and presentation, after debug builds of the games was more possible to be made without a big hassle cheat codes stayed only as a form of tradition. | 2011-01-27 01:26:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

This isn't just a random sequence of buttons, this is the konami code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_Code). For anyone who cant be bothered reading the Wikipedia article it is a code that has been used in a lot of games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Konami_code_games) and is very appropriate for a level set in an arcade | 2011-02-26 00:48:00 Author: darcyh Posts: 191 |

I'm the one who found the arcade could explode by typing something with your controller in the beta and I found it randomly (just pressing massively buttons on my controller, trying to kill the sackbot by electrifying it for fun lol). Some days later, I told it to a friend of mines (Mish80) and he managed to find the real code to do it. For fun, he tried the konami code and then... he was just like "OMG". lol But we still don't know what the number code means... | 2011-02-26 01:30:00 Author: Torkass Posts: 22 |

I've always thought that "free love" was a dumb message to hide. I mean what does that have to do with lbp? No, I think the numbers actually spell "Erde jote." "Erde" is German for "Earth" and "jote" is Albanian for "thy." Of course we'll invert them 'cuz that's what you do with foreign languages, so it's saying "Thy Earth," or "your earth." Clearly this is a warning from Mm that something is amiss with our Earth. What could that be? The answer is clear. The sackbot trying to repair the machine got zapped with every button press: he was harmed in the process of trying to repair the machine. If the machine represents our Earth, then that would mean that our attempts to repair it are going to result in us getting harmed. How? Isn't it obvious? The level is about the pursuit of an evil vacuum cleaner, so.... all I'm saying is that any environmentalist types out there would do well to keep as far away from vacuum cleaners as possible. | 2011-02-27 11:02:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
You guys got it all wrong.... It's a random code.... what does that sound like? Random toad!!! What's an anagram? TO ADD ROMAN!!! 3733 5983? Add the roman numerals together. Spaces are 1. 42!!!! OMG!!!!! The answer is 42!!!!!!! The answer to all our problems is here. We know the meaning to life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (The funny thing here is that everything I said was off the top of my head. You have no idea as to how much I started cracking up when the answer came out as 42) HOORAY FOR REFERENCES!!! XD | 2011-02-27 11:23:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal Posts: 1799 |

Dunno but it fits the same logic used to get free love. | 2011-02-28 11:22:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
Maybe Fred Love was the guy that first came up with the idea of the game WAY before it came out. And Mm is just saying thanks.... Or perhaps it's a WARNING. O.O Or maybe the next winning lotto numbers.... | 2011-02-28 11:40:00 Author: Devious_Oatmeal Posts: 1799 |
A strange thing I've found is that you can just button-mash the D-Pad and even if you haven't pressed UUDDLRLR, if you match it enough, and press X then O, it works. | 2011-02-28 17:00:00 Author: RibShark Posts: 83 |
