Honestly, what is wrong with them? It is one of the many many many questions I go wonder about (besides what would be the coolest yoghurt flavour ever and how a frogs perspective would be up from the clouds).. How did this social kind of standard appear? What is the meaning of it? Why do people so terribly hate socks and sandals worn at the same time? The only explanation is that it looks ugly and that is not a a very solid one. Myself I can't really see what is so uncool with it, though I do not really wear it. A great looking protagonist could be made in a manga series wearing socks, sandals, long and baggy trousers, jacket and a hat which looks like a panda. Yay! So really, I do not get it... Why do people think it is ugly?

Well, the point of sandals are to let your feet breathe more, and putting socks on defeats the purpose.

Because when you wear socks'n sandals, the cloth forms a slingshot between your two toes, and that is a bit annoying. Also because it looks ugly. I do not like the kind of sandals which has the little fastening think in between the toes, I only like the one which are connected on the sides @Omegaslayer: Actually that was magic troll soup, and it tasted very good (though I have had an extra pair of arms ever since and they are becoming quite... handy Lol, lame pun (that was the 3rd arm) (and that was the 4th) wrote 3. Yeah, they also have a mind on their own.

well, i have a contreversial fashion style. woolen scarf, leather gloves, jeans, mountain boots, socks and sandles combo, long sleeve shirts, custom made desginer t shirts, stupid hats, necklaces and sheepskin jackets all feature in my style. i get a few odd looks... i dont know why though.
