Tron Battle Arena

I got this idea after watching Tron..

I would be a top-down 2 player VS level..
Problem is, i dont know how make the light beam stay afloat from behind while "driving"

I was thinking make the back of the cycles emit tiny holographic lines every 0.0 seconds so it looks like a line, with switches on them that would destroy the bikes if ran into..

Im still tryna to get use to all this new stuff.. god help me -___-

any ideas?

LOL i'm working on a TRON level, and was searching here for light cycle ideas..
Now i see i'm not the only one

I use holographic material as wall, and gave the cycles a health bar ;D

im already working on this since last week, but ive been off lbp2 cuz its getting closer to semester finals

ive got a invincibility system up after u spawn
90 degree ONLY turns dont work, it will eventually make ur vehicle spiral out of control and hit ur own wall
im thinking of having the controllinator transmit to a sackbot(already have an idea of how spawning is going to work)
a 1 second speed boost with R1(cant seem to get it to do a maximum of three times, if i put make an OR gate have 3 inputs and link a counter to 2 of those inputs, will it stop it from working once the counter reaches max?)
im currently using plasma balls for the emitted object(im making the concept not the artistic look, but i could still change it nonetheless)
the vehicle already runs on its own, so u cant stop(follower + joystick rotator)
i can set the hp but its going to be one cuz u know waht'll happen if u hit a wall (crashing into each other will destroy both vehicles)
an infinite line of wall that wont dissappear(hopefully it wont clutter the map too much)

Where can i get the neon material(where in the story mode)? im currently using the neon metal from the mgs pack

Neon = Avalon
Metal with Neon lines = Factory of a better tomorrow..

These are my light cycles atm, but they need a lot of graphic changes. (I don't really like how they look now)

If you go without an health bar (1 life per spawn) and infinity wall, it will be too easy to lock people up in their spawn places

i set an invincibility timer that works for 5 secs after u spawn

if the light cycles are too big, u wont have enough room(not as much room i mean) cuz u can only zoom the camera out so much
