What do you guys think about the ability to steal other players' costumes in create mode? I don't know, looks like it could start some identity strife or some other kind of trouble. I won't describe how to do it in this thread because of the fact that it's so easy to steal a friend's or random create mode player's costume without them ever knowing it.

You just make a sackbot and put a costume on it and then give away the bot! No, I didn't like it when someone was using my costume after I let them use my profile as a backup, it annoyed me. Sacks are ment to be unique, it ruins it if you look identical. Plus it's mighty confusing if there are two that look the same simultaneously.

I think if this is a concern for you, you should be more picky about who you hang out with in create mode, but that's just me. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some of my costumes are mine and while I wouldn't willingly share them, none of them are especially difficult to make and I've even posted hi-res pics of them so if anybody really wanted to mimic them, there's nothing I could do to stop them. Besides, my costumes are more about my avatar, profile pic, and signature than they are about people actually seeing me in-game, and those are just jpgs that anybody could easily steal.

I think that, if a friend does it, they can do something funny with it and can make it all worth a laugh. But if you don't want anyone to ever steal your sack person that you worked so hard on, then do not join a room with people in your good costume, if they go into create mode.

Imitation is the sincerist form of flattery? I don't have an issue with it, if you don't want someone taking your costume, just set it to the default blank sackboy or something you wouldn't mind copied in create.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't mind if someone else took my costume. I have a basic sackboy structure that I use, I just change his clothes from time to time for fun. Since Mm were able to disable the stealing of DLC outfits after the beta, I don't think there's much else to worry about. In fact, I intend to give away an outfit or two attached to a sackbot in the future (Probably as a prize for sitting through a quick cinematic that I'm going to be working on. XD)

It's not "stealing" it's borrowing it without asking. Seriously though, I like this feature. It eliminates the need for costume tutorials, plus it allows friends to trade costues. But... I have a feeling "costume giveaways" will become one of the next spam levels.
