Sackbots and their Logic?
Archive: 5 posts
Hi all, I've been playing around with Sackbot logic since the game came out and I find that I'm getting places but nowhere rather fast. In short I'm trying to control a Sackbot that has attack animations and one of these is a dash attack. The dash I've gotten to work going toward the right, and I've gotten it going to the left but then my logic falls apart as I've created a timer that when the Sackbot goes left, stops it after .2 sec so that he doesn't go forward infinitely. However that timer doesn't work when I have him go left, he just dashes until I release the button. Also if he jumps and does the dash he floats in the air until I release the button, is there a way to make sure that doesn't happen and he just falls? To clarify how I've got things working so far, in the DCS O(circle) is the button that makes the Sackbot dash. Holding left or right makes him go in the left direction. And essentially I'm asking if there is a way to make him dash in the direction I press, stop after .2sec, and fall out of the air instead of simply floating there? Thank you all in advance, this site is a wonderful resource for all things LBP and I hope to learn enough to begin contributing rather than asking. | 2011-01-24 14:47:00 Author: Unknown User |

ive had the same problem with a double jump logic i have created. But i figured it out. In your case if you want your dash to activate while your holding circle in the direction you want to go , that means after you got the control outputs set up do the following for the right and left side dashes. Get a counter set to one, then set the output to a timer(the reset input) for how ever long you want, after that get the output of the timer to the mover or whatever you make it move with aswell as the reset for the counter. IMPORTANT NOTE: the timers "now time" has to be set to the max time. Or else it wont stop...... Ill try to add pics as soon as i can if this dosent help | 2011-01-25 05:09:00 Author: shadowsythe456732 Posts: 176 |
Thank you, not exactly sure where to place the counters though so as asked, I'll put up a pic of my logic, off a camera though. Not sure how others are getting such clean pics unless they're doing vid capture and using screen shots. http://thumbnails16.imagebam.com/11693/df2545116921365.jpg (http://www.imagebam.com/image/df2545116921365) So should they come from the timer into the OR Gate, or is the gate even needed? | 2011-01-27 05:23:00 Author: Unknown User |
