Piston glitch...*&%$#@&!

Well I think I have it. I was annoyed at how waterfalls stopped working and several other things, but always figured I had done something, well I have my OK Space level, where the ship relies in pistons working at .4 (which they used to and at .3 before then)...well now I can't make noce effects, and worse than that my ship is broken, and thus the level is suddenly croke. Is there any fix for this? I don't think it is that 160 hour thing since I never have created out of pause mode...then again my game has been causing the PS3 to randomly reset the PS3 while in create mode, screne just goes black and then resets.2011-01-24 06:47:00

Well... The 160 hour bug can happen well before 160 hours for 1. Also, did you happen to check to see if you glued everything together?2011-01-25 19:40:00

There are quite a few threads here on the 160 hour bug and I believe you have just encountered the bug. Do a search to get info on capturing your level and placing into a brand new fresh crater on your moon.

...oh.. and welcome to the growing club. It really isn't that hard to fix.

LOl, well posted on that thread as well when I finally found the bug name, but unpaused creating time is at more less than a few seconds. I have logic that auto dissolves and such at the start, so the second I unpause I ruin my level, that is why I never felt it could be the glitch. I have tried capturing my level for a few days now, but for some reason it just randomly decides what to capture and what not to. As for glueing, some of the levels are mega glued, but some are in sections with DM, does that cause issues too?2011-01-25 20:30:00

Wow... I have heard of that happening even without ever playing. Just plain sucks!!

Hmm.. if you are having less than desirable captures, you might try clearing out your popit of all objects (put them in a level by themselves and published locked for safety), or at least dump most of it as well as try it without a costume. Sometimes I think that lends a hand to how successful the capture.

I will try that too, I just captured all but two logic bits from the level that I can place back in because they are for a set location (unlike the others that control tons of things). Well went into plaste it and both times it froze the game. I was using a second character to capture the level, possibly I will try it again, but this time with out a second person on the same system.2011-01-25 21:19:00
