Toggeling Controlinator Outputs

I have a question, i been working on a selection system that uses the controlinator, but i ran into a problem. I been trying to make it so i can use the Right Analog to move the selection for a pop up menu, but that stick also works as an aiming mechanism. I want it to stop out puting controls for the aiming and start outputting controls for the selection for the selection system when the player holds down L1. my favorite way to do this is by putting all the logic of one mechanism into a microchip on the controlinator and the other on another microchip in the controlinator. When you want to switch between the two just attach whatever output of the controlinator to the input of any one of the microchips, then all the commands and the outputs will be activated. In other words its pretty much making a variable for each mechanism and calling them when needed.
