Level Description:
PSP Mario 2010. Run, swing, and jump through some of the top PSP Level scenes recreated and put together with one of the greatest hit games of all time, Mario. Escape from the dreaded Bowser and collect the bubble combos scattered throughout the level. Try and collect bubble combos that connect multiple scenes together.
Special Thanks to the creators whose levels I showcased.

[1/24/11] Updated V2. Level still has the same name but I edited the level to make it flow more smoothly. Click the spoiler to see the full update details.

- Fixed music glitch where only one song played and the final song started but ended abruptly.
- Made transition from Zone 2 to 3 more smooth by removing 'ugly' staircase and replacing it with two swinging tree leaves.
- Added more score bubbles to make the almost the entire level one giant combo (if performed correctly)
- Added some more Sound Effects.
- Added special effects to run away sequence.
- Edited ending making scoreboard touch the ground and adding the "New Years Ball Drop"
- Added Platinum Trophy earned by Aceing the level and silver and bronze trophies to go along with it (Gold was already in the level and was replaced with silver, gold was moved to "Collected All Gifts" and Bronze to "Level Complete Gifts".)
- A couple more minor fixes.
NOTE: Level had 9 Plays, 1 Hearts, and a 5/5 Star Rating.

[2/15/11] FINAL Update V3. Level name changed from "2010" to "PSP Mario 2010," and is now a spinoff version of my level in progress, "2010." Click the spoiler to see the full update details.

- Name change (seen above).
- Adjusted a few gameplay elements.
- Fixed several glitches.
- Added a new level description for the "Mario" part of it all.
- More things I can't think of right now.

Secret #1: Change the music! Grab the top of the ?useless? ?music note? button or the volume ?up? and ?down? buttons. Note: The default song cannot be switched back to after selecting one of the other three. However, you may cycle between the other three songs by re-grabbing them.
Secret #2: A Bubbly Surprise! Grab the ?analog stick? once to earn an extra bubble combo.
Secret #3: A Shocking Discovery! Grab part of the battery on the PSP cord to watch an electric shock.
Secret #4: Zone 1. None.
Secret #5: Zone 2. None.
Secret #6: Zone 3. None.
Secret #7: Zone 4. None.
Secret #8: Zone 5. Trophy! Grab the prize bubble on top of the tree to earn the 2010 trophy. Hint: This may be easier when running for your life...
Secret #9: Zone 6. None.
Secret #10: Zone 7. None.
Secret #11: Zone 8. None.

Although I didn't make this level F4F I do accept feedback. Sorry if your level was not showcased especially if I told you it would have been. (Clearly it was just too much for me!) There just wasn't enough thermo for everyone!
Also, if your level was featured and you do not feel my level represents it well, please do not rant about it as I DID feature your level where I could have featured someone elses. As for community contests...there will be one "Find the Differences Contest" so please do not post anything that you find different from the original levels.

Thanks and I hope you all enjoy!

Oh and here's a little something to look forward to:

- Will be released in the near future.
- More scenes will be added along with all of the "Mario" elements being removed.
- This will be a MAJOR change and will take a lot of time to "fix" so be patient with it.
- Let me know if you can think of any other levels (that aren't in this Mario version) that you'd like to see in the final.

[spoiler/] ohhhhhh look my first spoiler! spoilers are wicked! [spoiler/]

THE GOOD:
the start was really quite good and the Emmiters worked perfectly and that PSP was shaped perfectly as well!
the start was cool and some of the likeness (in terms of shape) were pretty precise to the actual levels so I gave it 4 stars!

THE BAD:
bit short and the plants were a bit annoying

THE HUH?
It's weird that you merged a really old famous game with new levels on an infamous console (it was random)

like I said I gave it 5 stars and a

hopefully the new version looks better

Cheeze actually meant if it was alright to call you woody as a nickname (I think)

anyway here's what I thought about it:
the start was really quite good and the Emmiters worked perfectly and that PSP was shaped perfectly as well!
but then you killed it... I really disliked the plants and I was like wth? what's with that? and they were a bit wonky sometimes and annoying to jump over. and some of the platforming was ugly like in the Apollo 13.5 section where its hard to get the bubbles and then of course through more sections untill you get to the.... bowser?
ah.... Mario fanatic!....? then that scoreboard... why in the air?
also: more music would be nice
I was about to give it 3 stars but then I remembered the cool start and some of the likeness (in terms of shape) were pretty precise to the actual levels so I gave it 4 stars!

ps: Valmassoi is spelled Vallmassoi not Valmossoi
and evernight by wertpol is up

Oh yeah I understood what he meant (I typed that at like 6:00 in the morning lol) in fact I'll go edit that post right now!

As for the level...

I'm really glad you liked the PSP and the opening. I spent a lot of time on that (I can't even remember how much, it was so long ago!)

I'm sorry you thought the rest killed the level, what's up with everyone hatin on the piranha plants? Hahaha. (I got some more feedback on it in my PM's too earlier so it wasn't just you). I figured the level looked empty without something filling the gaps in between and those added an extra gameplay element. Between that and the bowser at the end I was mixing in one of top games of all time with some of the top PSP levels - and the mario-ness wasn't even that big a part of the level if you think about it. As for the bubbles in the Apollo 13.5 area they were supposed to be hard but not as hard as they are, they were sort of there as decoration and looking at it now I should have fixed it (PATCHED!)Lastly I guess I didn't think having the scoreboard in the air effected the level so I didn't bother to change it. (PATCHED!)
Anyways I'm glad you gave it the 4 stars (sad it wasn't 5 of course) but thanks for the feedback!

Please play again if you'd like to say the changes I made (I personally think they made the level a whole lot better!)

What? This was really weird except for the begging which I liked. It was WAY to off topic for most of the park with the Bowser, Planty Things, and I'm pretty sure that's the NBC above the score board. Really off topic for the level.2011-01-26 20:04:00

Thanks for the feedback - I re-made the level description to include the mario part since it didn't say anything about it. I thought I got rid of the NBC logo with the last update (I was just testing out making different objects) but I'll be sure to re-update again today. Thanks for the feedback. I still want to make this perfect

Ok so based on what I'm hearing people are not liking the whole mario-esqe feel of the level since it makes it seem too random. Due to this I will be taking my level offline and doing another edit of it (basically removing all of the mario parts, adding more scenes because of then added thermo-space, and completely redo-ing the special effects with the bowser and everything.) Unless I hear otherwise I will start this "Rebuilding stage" tomorrow and hopefully be done with it by the end of this long weekend. Hopefully this makes my level more enjoyable and less "random" and brings me closer to a spotlight or other mention.

@CheezeBo
You can still feature my level in the LittleBigVid, in fact I'll probably leave this version up (maybe re-name it?) at least until I am done with my new edit.

If you are adding more, could you include part of my level, The Tester? (A section of road.)

Thanks man! I didn't publish the new one yet since I'm working on basically 10 projects right now (exageration..sorta) but I'll be sure to update this again when it's out. I think I'll rename this thread "PSP Mario 2010" and give it a whole new level description (along with republishing that version)...sound good? I'll make a new thread when the new one is out and call it just "2010."

FINAL (well sorta) UPDATE V3.........See the OP!

This is very under-rated. So...LOL at noobs!

The Bad

Too Short
-All the segments of the levels seemed a tad short-

The Good

The Visuals, OMG!
-I was quite fond of the corner editing and whatnot-

The Boss Battle
-Bowser looked REALLY well made. Seriously-

The What

The Boss Battle wasn't really a boss battle
-All you really did was run. You could just continually to die if you got lazy-

The Verdict
:star::star::star::star::star: and a <3
Here's to an awesome 2011!

Thanks so much man it means a lot that you like it!

The reason I made it so short was thermo, it was at the maximum where I couldn't even add anything unless I material changed back and forth and even that only gave me about two extra things to add in.

Im glad you liked the corner editing and bowser! I pride myself on making things look good and spending time on them so I think that's why the boss battle was lacking so I wouldn't even really call it a boss battle maybe just an escape.

Thanks for the feedback and rating!

Something in the ruins was not good... i don't know what, but i know, then not good :/

"Articte 5" segment
In spark's level, every tree was covered by any black stick, in youre no.

Flower near the "Article 5", and "Apollo 13.5: sacks in space" segments
Is unpredictable xD

"Apollo 13.5: sacks in space" segment
In tsr's level, the "floor" on moon isn't straight

The What

Thanks so much for all of that feedback it helps a lot! Hmmm that feedback style looks really familiar...I bet The-Questor will know why lol. Ok so the reason why the floor in the Apollo 13.5 part wasn't straight was because I accidently selected it with the popit during one of my updates and I hadn't saved very recently before selecting it so I didn't want to go back. The floor was so tightly in place that it squirmed uncontrollably and I got it back to the best place I could. As for that one flower...well I don't know haha it twitches, it speeds up, oh yeah I used a err...randomizer YEAH let's go with that..

All in all I'm glad you liked it. I think I've reached the point of no return for updating it because of all the hearts and plays I'd lose too.

Imagi corp - blue parts was made from "Powder blue lacquer" material metal, and pink from ""cardboard; the spirals are spins around...
Scenic of the leaves - The bones was made from the "sandstone" material stone
Article 5 - trees was made from "Black fibre paper" material cardboard
Destiny - sculpture didn't seens like in level...

I loved it buddy. Thought the PSP at the start was awesome, kept looking at it and kept looking at mine im playing on, very good. Loved the idea of going through little bits, oopps, parts of top levels. I dont think it needs an update, alls well. I think you should do another in the same style, but with different levels, its a great idea. Bowser at the end looked great. Couple of flower parts were a bit tricky, but hey so is Mario in parts. Looking forward to PSP Mario 2011!2011-02-22 20:45:00

Oooh I think you read it wrong I meant I'm NOT going to be updating the level anymore because this is the final version. Yeah and there was a reason there were several differences because I thought about doing a contest "Find the Differences." (Maybe I got rid of that in the OP when I was editing things? I'll check) It's OK though because I think that might have been too tricky. Also I made the blue the bluish raindrop ice because I wanted it to be a trap so if you went for those bubbles you'd go into the gas. So if you could would you be so kind and delete those differences I don't think there's a need to point them out it just makes it look incomplete when I truly did spend countless hours on this..thanks. Oh and as for the Destiny it was in the level it was at the beginning, maybe check again.

Thanks.

EDIT: I checked and it was in the disclaimer. I guess it's my fault too though since I should have made it more noticeable. My bad.

Thanks man! I haven't really thought about a PSP Mario 2011 yet, but it could happen depending on if people still with it through the end of the year and whether or not many popular levels come out. The full 2010 level still MIGHT come out but progress on that is slow since I'm mainly working on MWS for PSP and several levels on LBP2.

Me likes it

Graphics:
I dont know what to say here...the scenery was always awesome, but well, you didnt create most parts. Not complaining, but...yeah, most parts were by others. But it doesnt matter, since the level is designed to be a tribute to those levels . The parts that you actually created were stunning, I especially liked the beginning.
Gameplay:
Hmmm..gameplay was...few. There were actually very easy obstacles along the way, and sometimes, there was just nothing, like in the destiny part. But the bowser chasing at the end was cool! I have to admit that it doesnt really belong in the level XP
Overall:
Awesome, but not flawless. It could have been longer, but I guess you ran out of thermo very fast because of the many materials you had to use. I dont really get why so many people are complaining about the flowers though. I mean, they were not that hard to avoid...but they didnt belong there either. But still, I really enjoyed playing this level, and I could se how much effort went into it!
Score:
I rated it :star::star::star::star::star: , are you ok with that?

Ok so first of all, I want to say that I probably should have started a new thread since the first 10 posts or so of feedback are from the old original that is why people didn't like the flowers then and why they felt the bowser part was random.

I did actually create everything in the level myself I didn't take it from others or have them build it for me but I took pictures of each level and recreated it completely from scratch so hopefully that clarifies things!

I'm glad you liked the graphics and everything and you're right that I couldn't squeeze in even one more score bubble sadly. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey WoodburyRaider! I played this tonight and thought I'd let you know what I though of it

Visually I thought the level was quite impressive. The intro area was well made, and the recreations of the tributed levels looked quite good. The bowser looked good too

Gameplay-wise I can't recall anything that really sticks out to be honest, but I was still entertained throughout the level simply by the delightful nostalgia trip through a good number of 2010's big levels. I did have a little problem with Bowser at the end- the long camera angle for the chase bit made it difficult to judge my jumps over the piranha plants; difficulty isn't normally an issue for me but after respawning, Bowser stopped chasing me XD

The Mario aspect did feel a bit odd interspersed with LBP PSP levels, but I can still appreciate the idea

Overall I really enjoyed this level! Nice work WoodburyRaider, I look forward to this "2010" level you speak of!

Thanks for the feedback! I guess I haven't really made a "platformer" yet so I haven't had much experience with score bubbles and gameplay but I figured without it the level would have been to plain. (Also I didn't want to alter the other levels.)

You broke the bowser part? Sweet. Haha I've never had that happen before I'll try to mess around with it.
