VERY annoying water glitch.

Archive: 8 posts

Whenever player 1 on my system goes in the water, he doggy paddles. He doen't actually swim, which causes him to move very slowly, and it's very irritating. All the other players on my system are fine. And yes, I have tried turning the system off and back on, turning the controller off and back on, switching customs, and stuff like that. Does anyone know what the problem might be?2011-01-23 22:47:00

He doggy paddles even when underwater? Because the doggy paddle is usual at the surface, but unusual when underwater. Also, did you try holding X when underwater? (no other ideas on what could it be)2011-01-23 22:58:00

Sounds like you have the Naux glitch, is the player 1 sack noticeably shorter. I don't think anyone has found a cure yet other than deleting data but there is workarounds.

EDIT: heres the link for the workaround https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=43624-Naux-CURE-(-semi-cure)&p=736406

Yes, he doggy paddles underwater. He also never runs out of breathe. It is also very hard to pull objects underwate. And yes, I did try pressing X while underwater.

Thanks for the suggestion Robotiod, but my problem actually doesn't fix in with the Naux glitch symptoms. This is completely different.

I had this problem in the LBP2 beta, you placed this thread in the LBP1 area, are you sure it's not for LBP2?

Whoops! Sorry about that. But yes, it is for LittleBigPlanet 2.

Agh, so it is certainly the bug I had, I don't know what you could do but either wait for a patch or create a separate profile or something.

The glitch, in a way, is quite a joke if you think about it, you can do such things as swim distances not normally possible and break levels, but unfortunately the glitch does more harm than good as many levels may rely on dragging heavy objects through water and moving quickly through obstacles.

Yeah, I was actuallying thinking about that, considering you don't lose any air. But there's not too many levels where you can take advantage of it. Plus, if your score was so remarkably higher than everyones' elses on the leaderboard, everyone would just deem you as a cheater, which would probably hurt your reputation.

Is this a big problem? Does anyone else have it?
