MM9001's Video Review Service!

Archive: 18 posts

Hi all, my name is MudkipMudkip9001! Not in real life, of course. You can call me what you want, it doesn't matter! Jim or Steve works. Anyways, I have some time on my hands, so I feel like reviewing levels on LBP 2! Since I have a capture card, I can make video reviews. A warning; my capture card isn't HD or anything, but it works, if you want your level up on Youtube.

A couple of guidelines of course.
1. First come, first serve.
2. I want to review levels that are quality made, not ones that were made in two seconds.
3. I really like playing hard levels, but try not to make them really, really hard. As in impossibly hard. I'm not the best player out there.
4. The review will be posted on Youtube, with voice commentary.

Another thing is that I have horrible internet. Satellite internet is the only thing I have at my house, and it has horrible upload speeds, about 15kb/s. So, when it completely uploads, I'll IM you the link and post a link in this thread.

Thanks for listening. Just post your PSN, name of the level, and any other comments, and I'll get to work!

Hi MudkipMudkip9001 . I would like to ask you can you record/review my pyramids but probably that will be hard because they are very long and puzzler levels. Anyway if you can try that will be great.
My levels: LITTLE BIG PYRAMID: TEMPLE OF TUTANKHAMUN and LITTLE BIG PYRAMID 2: SECRET OF CLEOPATRA.
My best level: BEST CREATED CONNECT FOUR.
My PSN: GILUPL
Thank you (just let you know all my levels were created in LBP, I don't have my LBP2 copy yet).

Okay. It'll be okay, I'll just separate the videos on Youtube. Hopefully I don't get stuck or something, lol. I'll start working on them immediately. I'll tell you when I start uploading them. Thanks for wanting a review!

Edit: Got the first one uploaded with (crappy) commentary! I'll work on the second one after school today.

I would love a video review of my level. Although I warn you: it is mdoerately hard.

Name: Onion Gale
PSN: NiKfY

It is an obstacle challenge level with eight different stages in the same level. Try to get as far as you can. If you review my level, I will play and review one of your levels in return. Not a video review, however.

Woops, hadn't noticed I had misspelled that. xD

Anyway, good luck!

By the way, the level is pretty long, so there is no way that you could record a whole playthrough in one video (if you decide to go all the way through). So, I would recommend you to first play the level, and then decide which part you would like to record.

By the way, nice production on that first review! Your voice sounds very clear.

When I'm done with my level I wouldn't mind such a review, but I'm not even into Beta yet, still too buggy with not enough features, if you want to try out the work in progress though you can. Check my sig.2011-01-25 15:22:00

Thank you very much MudkipMudkip9001 for the nice video of my 1st pyramid . I am glad you like this level, I think the most players don't like my pyramids and they rate them very low. I can understand that some people don't like puzzler levels but why they are playing if there is write COMPLEX PUZZLER? I really appreciate your opinion and you make me proud because usually opinions about those pyramids are not bad but also not that good. I spend a lot of time to create my pyramids, they are full of ideas, uniqe puzzles, originaliy and various gameplay. I believe that in the same time what I created my 2 pyramds I could make 4 medium size and really good levels. I chose my way because I wanted to be original, also storyline is different: "sackboy is talking to the player". I don't know what way I should create new levels in LBP2? I love to make even one level worth 5 stars but I can see it is very hard to do, how to make all people happy? I know that my pyramids are not for everyone but few people love them so I want to say thank you for everyone who appreciated my hard work and various gameplay . 2nd part has 3 stars in LBP game, I am sad and I don't agree with that . Good work with the video and I understand this level is too long so you had to choice half level for record and I am happy with that. Thank you .2011-01-25 17:00:00

How about a music video? it's just music with lights and camera in sync to it.
Up to you.

To everyone that wanted a review; I have recorded the playthroughs. I just have to put commentary on them and wait a long time for them to upload. Just wanted to let you know I haven't abandoned you guys.2011-01-26 16:04:00

Hello MudkipMudkip9001 Can you review my level alive 4 ever zombots revenge? Its challenging especially when the special zombies come out. It may sound like a crappy survival but it has a menu A door system where you actually lose points to open the next door and special infected. My psn is DesignedJ2011-01-26 18:20:00

I'd like my level played, haven't updated it in a long time. Name of level is Random Race, PSN is DeathJohnson.

However, if it's allowed, I'd like to instead submit a level my brother made over it, it sounds like you would enjoy it a bit more, it's a lot more polished, and more challenging (not impossibly hard, even I could beat it after a few tries, though finding secret paths helps), I believe it's called Wood Zone or something, creator should be Exadi.

Edit: Are LBP levels playable in LBP 2? These are LBP levels.

Edit Again: I looked it up and they should be, making these multiple edits pointless. Oh well.

would really appreciate a review on my newest / first LBP2 level.

Great idea with the video service, it's too bad about your internet. I really want to get a capture card myself. If you want , check out my pixs first to make sure it's quality. I spent at least 26 hours in game making it so I am pretty proud.

If you wouldn't mind posting the review in my thread that would be great, otherwise I could just copy it myself.

Would love a review on my level A Helping Hand (link in my sig). It's a co-op level, hopefully that's not a problem.

G'day mate.

I have two levels I would like to be filmed: Football Kick (http://lbp.me/v/wy-ygr) and my new level, (posted yesterday) Zombie Horde: Single Player Beta (http://lbp.me/v/xr7pth). Only do two if you can; I don't want you doing more than you have to.

Thanks alot mate; I really appreciate it!

I would love to get a video review from you. My PSN is Pickle_of_Fire and the level I would like you to showcase is Sackbeard's Long day. It is a two parter due to thermometer issues. I've spent well over 120 hours of it so far, and I think that it shows. Thanks in advance!2011-02-14 08:24:00
