An easy to answer n00bish question

Archive: 6 posts

So I was building in create mode, when I noticed that there is no longer an option on switches that allows you to change between directional, on/off, speed, etc. I want to set a two way switch to directional, but all I can get is on/off. And I dont want it to be permanent, I want it to be able to change back and forth.
Also I just remembered, I was testing other things and found that your body weight is no longer heavy enough to pull switches down that are vertcal. Is there a way I can change this either?

Thank for the very clear instructions. I understand completely now.

The way the switch behaves is now defined at the thing it activates. If you have a two way switch connnected to a piston or something you have to look at the pistons settings to make it directional2011-01-23 22:33:00

Sarcasm? Anyway, if you wanted a switch to speed up a motor bolt, rather than just turn it on, the signal type (Speed, On/Off, etc) is now chosen in the bolt's tweak menu, rather than the switch's. Also, this option is chosen on the new tools' input (For example, Movers, there is, on the sides of the tool, various input selections, such as On/Off, Speed, etc.), not it's tweak menu. It varies depending on the tool.2011-01-23 22:38:00
