Hi I just got lbp2 and I have a lot of questions so i will just list them 1 how do i host a game? 2 when i try to join a game and the host refuses me, or connection time out and the game starts, am i host, and if i dont pass the 1st marker will people join my game? 3 is it normal for stages to load very sloooowwww? 1 stage took me 2 minutes just to say play online or on my own. 4 i saw videos of racing and streetfighter, where do i play that? 5 is there a party system, so i can invite my friends and be host?

1. Invite a friend or have them join you. If you join them, that makes them the host. 2. Not sure what you mean. 3. Yes, it's normal. It's only been out for a week, and thousands of people are playing it, which is why the servers are slow. 4. Go to Community, Text Search, and type in whatever you want to search for. 5. Press Start, then go to Friends. Here you can invite your friends or join them.

thanks. what i mean for #2 is that sometimes when i choose play online, i cant connect to the host. it will either say the host refused you or the connection timed out. it will then put me in a game with no other people. if i wait at the beginning of the level will people be able to join my game?

2: Yes, if you're not being hosted by anybody else, then you're the host of your own game and people will be able to join you. 3: As Zim said, the servers are severely bogged now whether because of the load of people playing or because of network code that needs optimization or whatever. Just be patient while Mm gets it sorted out. As a side note, loading disc levels, levels on your moon or even getting out stickers and such goes faster when you're offline than it does when you'e online, even if there's nobody else playing with you. 4: Note that these were beta levels. Mm ported some of them over to the full game but not all, so don't be surprised if you can't find every level you saw a video of.

thanks, one last question. do i have to wait before the 1st checkpoint (like lbp1) for people to join or can people join anywhere on the stage

You mean the yellow close level post that spins around when you pass it? If so, you technically don't have to. They just won't be allowed to join until you either restart or complete the level. Now if it's a friend or you're trying to get something that needs that extra player then you're better off just waiting at the start for them to load up. Plus it's common courtesy. :3 EDIT: To expand my answer, if said gate isn't there a player that joins will join you at the closest active checkpoint so you don't have to worry about going all the way back or restarting for someone. That is of course if the level doesn't have a Close level post.
