LBP2's Easter Eggs & Secrets List

Easter egg's from The Story mode of LittleBigPlanet 2, as found by the community!

Have fun looking for them and finding new ones! I slightly edited some of your posts, hope you don't mind!



In the "Pipe Dreams" level, at the end, when you make the hand do the devil horns, position the fingers so that only the middle finger is pointing up.

You should see a sign pop down saying "Denied!"

In the first level of the factory, stand by the large phone and Clive will begin to talk about it more and more, I wonder if he talks about other things? :tophat:


In the level with the 'Patients Are A Virtue' you can spray the heads of the Possums to make them throw acorns or something at you.

Also the broken machine in 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Negativitron' doesn't do anything anymore... I could have sworn I read somewhere that in once blew up...
Incidentally, if you play on there and someone else touches the sackbot that's working on it, they get electrocuted and die.

If you stand to the right Victoria in the level 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Negativitron', she will comment on the valve decoration used.

Also, in the first Eve's Asylum level, if you go to the very left, you'll find some random hidden score bubbles behind a bush.




The creator curators (sans Mags) from LBP1 are seen in an Eve's Asylum level..."Patients are a Virtue"

The avalonia letters are the same as what was used in the "Plagachef" logo..


Throwing Sackbots to their death gets you a pin.

Ok this is kinda hard to see, but in the Pipe Dreams Level, if you look closely on the part right before you land near the score board, you can see the giant robot you end up blowing up many levels later to save Avalon in "Where in the World is Avalon Centrifuge?"

When you put on the Clu Helmet, Sackboy smiles for a moment.




After you get on the train Victoria says, "What did I do wrong...What didn't i do right." When she says that this purple light starts to glow behind her.
Then I remembered that the Negativitron was made from the curators.

That purple light also appeared when you meet divinci when he says, "I should have done this on my own, I really should have."

And once again when you meet Eve when she says, "The patients...they're nothing without my love." but instead of a light the Negativitron says, "You FEED me!"
I didn't see it with Clive, Avalon, or Higginbotham...
Just thought this was something cool


in the second level in Avalon level if you shoot the wall below the first targets, it will play disco music and the boss and your camel wear shades


When you wear the Andrea umbrella and smile it opens up!

Did anyone see the picture of young Clive, Avalon and higinbotham graduating? Its at the end of a Da Vinci level (I think it's gripple grapple). Da Vinci also makes a comment about the "institute of imagination" just before the picture. In beginning of 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Negativitron', stand right next to Clive and wait, until he makes a hilarious quote in reference to the sci-fi horror movie Alien.

I think you get it as a level complete gift though.

That's only an example. The way the NES controller was laid out, B would actually correspond to X and A would be O. Besides, the rest of the code (the directions) is the same.

On topic, I found that there are many of the "if you wait here long enough, the curator will say something" deals. I'm quite sure each of them has at least one.		2011-01-25 18:12:00

In the demo, I got a pin as soon as I started up called "Mm's Birthday". I also have one secret pin called "Group Hug of 20,000", which I imagine a lot of people have.

I love those conversations when you wait by characters.

Like in one of the Asylum levels, if you wait with Eve and Clive, and Eve tries to convince Clive to come with you, he says something like:

"I feel much safer next to this disembodied robotic chicken head."

And Eve replies:

MM used story stickers with a coloured background for intMusic icons(they didn't do it in LBP1). Name of that sticker with Eve with both eyes is Eve child		2011-02-08 04:54:00

I think that the hats are mortar boards, that students wear when graduating from places such as collage or university, and a building can be seen in the background which is probably the institute of inspiration. Do I win? 2011-02-08 23:25:00

I was skeptical about that Easter Egg at first, but yeah it exists. I don't exactly know where you have to sticker, but it takes me a few shots everytime. Just kind of wait for the camel to stop at the first set of targets (before the player gate) and sticker the blank wall behind the targets.

If that doesn't work, sticker everywhere on that screen, you'll know when you've activated it.

TBH, I think you can see a grey shadow randomly fall when you're on that screen and I think you have to sticker that or near it, I don't know. Just keep trying though. You may have to quickly sticker around the place after stickering the targets...

Really? What does the picture show? I've aced the level, but thought the picture was just soMething random... I can't even remember what it was now, I never thought that it was important.
Although I think that you're probably right, as during the final boss cutscene, Victoria runs to Da Vinci, not to mention all the "pet names" that Da Vinci has for her.
In the same boss cutscene, Clive and Eve are together, while Higinbotham and Avalon are alone. Could this mean that Clive and Eve are friends? After all, they spent a lot of time together while at the asylum.... Plus, they both have strange heads...		2011-02-09 17:16:00

Well this isn't really an LBP2 easter egg, but here are some costume stuff I found:
-Marvel packs Wolverines claws come out if you show angry face.
-Marvel pack DR.Octo's tentacles react differently to the different states of sackboys behaviour (angry, sad, afraid, happy)
-LBP2 umbrella opens when you smile.

I was skeptical about that Easter Egg at first, but yeah it exists. I don't exactly know where you have to sticker, but it takes me a few shots everytime. Just kind of wait for the camel to stop at the first set of targets (before the player gate) and sticker the blank wall behind the targets.

I found out if you wear the frying pan arm, it makes a metallic "WHAM!" sound when you slap someone, but only with the arm it's being held in! That's kind neat.

Also, I think the level "root canal" is a reference to the Half Life 2 level "Route Canal."

Frying pan has always made that noise. In 1 and 2.

Mm made LBP2 for the younger audience...if they put a portait of davinci proposing to victoria along with davinci giving many pet names to victoria...its pretty obvious they are married...im pretty sure Mm wouldnt make a complicated backstory for the portrait as being something of his imagination or something he made for her...LBP2 is a game made fo the younger audience....im still surprised people want to try and prove it wrong and makenit sound so complicated when this game isnt made to be complicated...mostly what you see is what you get...so theyre married...believe it or not i dont care...just annoys me when people say things like "must...resist" like if theyre talking to themselves o_O or if its a direct insult at me...theres no need for that we're all mentally mature individuals (well...most of us) and i would think if you strongly believe theyre not married youd provide proof instead of just saying things for the sake of trying to prove me wrong....oh well

I don't know if it's an easter egg, but I think I found something pretty cool. On the Antique bottle, there's some text on the bottom of the label. It says "pulv:anisi:stellat". With a little help from google translate, I found that this in Latin means "the dust of the anise are covred in stars". No idea what it means, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Incorrect! Holding L2 or R2 makes your Sackboy do tricks and flips depending on how you rotate/tilt your Sixaxis controller. Pretty cool!		2011-02-12 20:12:00

technically this isn't a secret it's a bug...i guess the sticker cursor sometimes thinks its the object cursor in this sense and it does this...but yeah unfortunately you can't save your costume like that

If you keep a Sackbot's animation style to 'Sackbot', and dress it up like a regular Sackboy, the result is some pretty friggin' creepy death animations.

When it touches electricity, it's eyes pop out of its head before exploding. When it touches gas, it'll fall to the ground. (And stay there for a while, too.)

On fire flys when your having fun, just after you get out of the dark bit, if you go to the back layer and jump off then you'll fall out of the level.

if you have the bounce pad hat on you can bounce your way to the to of the level where there is a controlornator that you can't do anything in(i think) or get out of, and a way to fall back into the level(much further back then were you left)		2011-09-18 16:10:00
