Archive: 14 posts

No I don't mean an Angry Sackboy, I mean Chucky!!!! (from the movie/s Childs Play in case you haven't seen them)

Howdy all, long time reader, first time poster. I finally signed up after talking to one of your members the other day so I thought it best to drop a line to say g'day.

Am absolutely loving Little Big Planet atm, and look forward to playing some levels online with a few of you.

I am 31, Live in Brisbane (Australia), and have been gaming just about all of my life.

Not sure what else you need to know about me, but if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Over and Out,
Chucky!

Welcome to the forums - Were taking over the world don't you know

I loved the Chucky movies

But my little sister saw it when she was young and it freaked her out big time lol

Then my mum got her a Cricket Doll for christmas that you put cassette tapes in the back and it sang songs and taught kids.

Oh believe me there are more then you realise, well gaming anyway. Maybe not so much LBP, but that is because alot of them *think* the game is aimed at the young audience, however imo they couldn't be further from the truth.

I am an Admin for a large Gaming Network in Australia and I can tell you roughly 50-60% of gamers are 25+.... It is just most of them play FPS grr

LBP > *

Oh and I finally got my AV to work.... (with the assistance of the main man) Thanks for that!

Hm, I would think that it would be kids who would play FPSs to look more mature, not the other way around...

Anyway, hey, welcome, please don't kill me.

Ah, who am I kidding. No one can kill the (socially engaged) King of EVIL!

Hm, I would think that it would be kids who would play FPSs to look more mature, not the other way around...

We have this huge problem going on in Australia at the moment where we do not have an R18+ classification for games...So when a game comes out that is rated past MA15+ by the Australian classification board, it is denied until they either edit it or it does not get sold in Australia.

I won't bore you with all of the details of that as it is one Attorney General that is holding the R18+ rating system being allowed in Australia... But the long and short of it is a couple of universities and independent reasearchers did some surveys and it turns out the average gamer in Australia is around 30 (Hence why we should have an R18+ rating for video games).

FPS games are the most common online played game around, and as someone that deals with alot of ban appeals for FPS games, I can pretty much vouch for the fact the majority of them are 25+ based on the way they word things. Of course you get the ones that are 10+ crying foul as well in an appeal, but they are just funny to read
