Help with vehichle creation

Ok here's the scoop I'm trying to make a vehichle based level (Like Avalonia) and I've ran into some trouble... I'm trying to make a spider but I need help with synching its mouth with a projectile it fires. also if you can tell me how to make an HP bar that would Make me G-L-A-D glad! thanks.2011-01-23 13:20:00

So, you want the mouth to open when he is firing the projectile?
I would take a timer, set the input action to Start Count Down, and connecting it to the bolt or whatever mechanism you are using for the mouth. Make sure the bolt's input action is set to Forwards/Backwards!
Then, take another timer (or just copy the other timer, you need both timers to have the same time), and set it's input action to Start Count Up. Hook that up to the emitter that fires the projectile. Also, connect it to its own reset input (on the bottom of the timer).
Then, just connect the button that the player presses to fire the projectile into the two timers.
Now, if the players presses the button, the spider will open its mouth THEN it will fire the projectile! You should probably mess around with the times on the timers a bit so that the thing works as smoothly as possible.

As for a health bar, you can look at the RoboBunny object in create mode. There is a specific microchip on it used for the health. However, Mm's health bar is quite complicated because they used a custom shape for their health.
An easier way to make a health bar would be to take a thin piece hologram material and put a follower on it that is set to follow a tag around the top of your spider. Then, put a counter on it, make it visible, and set it to however many hit points you want. From there, you could put an impact sensor on your spider that senses a specific tag. You would have to put this tag on everything that harms the spider. Just hook up this impact sensor to the counter, and the counter to whatever mechanism you want to use for a death animation!

Well i've gotten the projectile jaw Sinced together now All i need is to do the HP bar and I'm done with this one
