Logic Assistance

Hey guys, so here's the deal, I'm making a versus arena, twin stick shooter level type thing, and I've got the landscape, the vehicles, but there's a few things I don't know how to do, which include:


Give each player thier own camera
Respawn in the vehicle
Give temporary invincibility


Any help with these things would be greatly aprciated, you can leave a reply, or add me on PSN, thanks in advance!

this is in asumption that u are going for a top down shooter

1. well u cant really give someone there own camera (to my knowledge) just one abve the wholes area
2. try using sackbots instead of real sacks then u can use an emmiter that follows on hologram that spawns a new one once it dies
3. have a NOT gate attached to what ever lowers you heath and set it so when u pick up invinvibility your life will "NOT" go down... and obviously a timer so it doesnt last forever

Alright, thanks for that, but for the camera, I know that there is a way to do it, I've seen it done in beta levels so it must be possible in the full game, I think I saw it in foofles' deathmatch level, i'll have to ask him.

also, you lost me at the sackbots part.

For cameras it's as simple as changing the game type to versus. Regrettably, Mm didn't give us an option to give the players independent cameras in co-op.

If you're wanting the players to respawn back in the same ship they died in, you're going to have to use some goofy logic. Since you're going to need to be in versus mode, you'll have no control over which checkpoint is active if there are multiple checkpoints, so there can only be one at a time. Obviously that would get complicated with four ships (it is possible, though). The easier option would be to have the players respawn back at the beginning and have a new ship waiting for them there.

And yeah, you can use a NOT gate or whatever for invincibility. An easy way to disable any chunk of logic (like the part that detects damage) is to stick it on its own microchip, and hook the invincibility signal through a NOT gate into the bottom of the microchip. When the invincibility is set to ON, the microchip will turn off and no damage signals will get through. You can also just make a node and stick it on a microchip if, for whatever reason, you don't want to hide the actual components you're using.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Me and Bubek were just workng on this and we got the cameras, and the respawning down, buuuuut, then it goes to only one camera when you respawn, is there a work around that i'm not aware of? cuz we've tried everything.
