Crumbling walls and floors

| Hi there. I'm having some trouble creating a level concept here that's been on my mind for a while. At the moment, I've got a concept that I'm reworking that requires me to have a crumbling wall/floor or two. Problem is, my ability to do so is distinctly... Lacking. Now, when I say crumbling walls/floors, I mean the kind you see in just about any MM level. You know, like the one Larry Da Vinci shoots you through in early LBP2. Something that collapses when you hit it, dissolving about 5 seconds or so after. If anyone could suggest ways to make this possible, I'd be immensely grateful.
