Alex Mercer parkour test

A sackbot that I'm working on. I've always loved the moves Mercer could pull off in prototype so I just wanted to recreate them. He may or may not be featured in a level and by that I mean his costume. There will probably be a future level of mine that will feature a sackbot with the same powers. Just leave any feedback on how I could improve him or any ideas on what powers I should add (I don't own the game so I am not sure what all the powers are) just leave a comment and a link to or a name to level you want me to F4F. Just head on over to lbp.me to see some screen shots!

I just noticed that on lbp.me it says confused cartman played this 2 times. Is this the real one? If so woot!

Update 3.0:
NEW POWERZZ
-Added an air push; press square while moving left or right in the air to push yourself in that direction
Adjustments
-Adjusted gliding; Glides slightly slower but the full glide lasts longer
Bug fixes
-Removed rare bug of the glide ability circling out of control
Update 3.2:
Additions:
-Added basic model as a prize if you finish at the scoreboard.
-Improved air glide; now faster and longer
-Improved Air Push; Now faster and you push downwards when you use it as well to prevent abusing it.

Not bad, not bad.

Personally I think you fall a little to fast while gliding, but since I've never played the game it's based off I don't know if you're just trying to be good to the source material.
Oh and your rotation seems a little stuff while gliding, I think you should rotate a tad bit slower so when you're floating over your head doesn't snap like instantly 100% to the right/left.

Will you play my level Bird Hunting? I just made a forum thread about it with some questions I'd like answered...

Thanks for the tip. I was going actually going to increase the glide duration in tomorrow's update (which includes a little "push" of force while gliding) and thanks for the tip about the snapping. I'll set the gyro acceleration to about 20%-30% rather than 50% so it will look more natural when he starts to glide. I'll play your level tomorrow 2011-01-23 05:51:00

It certainly seems like a good start. Walking on walls was a bit annoying. I wish I could just run at the wall, and didn't have to jump onto it. Also, sometimes even after jumping on to it, my sackboy would fall back to the ground. While gliding, the character seems to still accelerate with gravity, just at a slower rate. I haven't played the game, so maybe that's just how it is, but it seems to me like it would make more sense and be more fun to not be affected by gravity at all. You're using a gyro for your rotation? That just seems kinda odd. For my flying sackbot I used a joystick rotator, and he loots great as he twists and curves, although you have to have an anti grav. with some damping on it since there is no deceleration option, but you may want to check that out possibly.

Oops! I meant joystick rotator, I mixed it up with the wall running gyros. I do have a joystick but it only rotates left and right so I'll tweak that!
