one shot button?

Is there a simple way to make a button sensor one-shot? | 2011-01-22 21:51:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |
do you mean a button that sends a quick signal before turning off again? like sending a pulse? if so then you can get a counter set it to count up to 1 and put its output into its reset input, this way it sends a quick brief signal to whatever you hook the output up to. if you introduce a timer into the reset loop you can make the signal stay on for however long you like before resetting | 2011-01-22 23:15:00 Author: Skalio- Posts: 920 |
yeah. It used to be super easy to do in LBP1. i don't know why they took that option off. i hadn't thought about a counter...good idea!! I've been using timers pretty much the same way, but a counter never occurred to me lol. The .1 second delay on the timers doesn't sound like much, it adds up pretty quickly. | 2011-01-23 00:15:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |
Most of the output objects such as emmiters have the one shot option in them instead. it is a bit annoying but it make the logic tools more flexible in the long run. Obviously you can simulate a one shot output but it is a bit complicated. Just look at the object you want to give a one shot output too before you try to simulate it though. | 2011-01-23 00:32:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
