MM needs to get it together.
Archive: 8 posts
It seems every time I start up LBP2, there's a new game breaking bug that needs fixing (Pod glitch, infinite loading in Multi, very long loading in Single today). And I haven't seen any indication that MM is actually working to repair these bugs. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to hate on this game or sound silly, I love LBP2 and I love MM, but the fact that a lot of the bugs occurring now were present in the beta really disappoints me. I paid $80 for a game I could have fun with, but it's becoming a hassle for me. I think MM really needs it get it together. | 2011-01-22 19:23:00 Author: googleit36 Posts: 50 |
As far as I am aware, they can only patch once per week, if the update schedule is the same as the PStore updates. Since the game was indeed released just last Tuesday, they soonest they could have gotten an update online is... in 3 days. Even if I'm not correct about this, fixing bugs isn't as simple as recognizing them; you have to dig through tons of code to find the problem, then fix it, and just hope that by fixing one bug you spawn ANOTHER one. | 2011-01-22 19:32:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
Aye. Looking back at all the consoles and games I've owned over the years, there just weren't many bugs at all. Now that ps3 and 360 are out I see bugs in all kinds of games. The gaming industry has gone business 1st, entertainment 2nd. If anything I'm sure Sony pushed Mm into releasing the game. I love the developers, but the bosses don't care about the quality of games, just quantity of money. I have no hate for Mm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sony set the release date, not Mm. So I'm disappointed in Sony. | 2011-01-22 19:33:00 Author: Sivious Posts: 69 |

http://twitter.com/mediamolecule They are aware of the issues and are working on fixes. All they ever talk about is the earth in pod glitch. Nothing else. | 2011-01-22 19:39:00 Author: Tyler Posts: 663 |

But as I said, as far as I'm aware, a lot of the bugs right now were present in the beta, so they've had a lot longer than 4 days to fix some of these issues. I'm just upset, to an extent, I can't play what I paid for. | 2011-01-22 19:58:00 Author: googleit36 Posts: 50 |
i thought the God Glitch had been sorted? | 2011-01-22 20:26:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
i thought the God Glitch had been sorted? It has. There are other glitches, like the Earth in Pod glitch, caused by changing your PSN avatar. Apparently, all you need to do to fix is sign in and out of PSN. | 2011-01-22 21:16:00 Author: gamerC0LA64 Posts: 274 |
