looking for "beat em up?" tutorial

Can anybody pleae make a tutorial on how to create a side scrolling beat em up? like how to create a combat system that works etc. if anybody does make one, or already has, please tell me. thanx (:2011-01-22 14:58:00

That's a great idea! I'm not sure if such a tutorial exists, but I imagine you could use a use a controlinator to control a sackbot and then have say O activate a behavior where you act out the sackbot punching. You could also use logic gates to have O & [] Do some something different together than they would alone.
As far as damage goes you could probably rig something up with impact sensors and counters or projectile sensors.

Hopefully that gives you some ideas if you can't find a tutorial, good luck!

I'm working on a level similar to a beat em up. I got a sackbot that you control with a controlinator. So far he can jump, move left, move right, block attacks, move while blocking, and attack. Its a lot more difficult than I initially thought. Maybe because i'm doing it on my own without any help. But if I get it done and it works well then I will definitely make a tutorial that will teach you how to make the entire sackbot logic that I will be using for the level.2011-01-30 03:17:00
