Free LBP1 Items?
Archive: 11 posts
First, I do NOT support this idea. I thought of this before LBP2 came out but never mentioned it. I already have everything from LBP1 anyways. So, I understand that you can import your file of LBP1 into LBP2 and keep all your items. If some of you are unaware, GameFaqs.com stores save files for games. Browsing through, I found 100% save files of LBP1 for both the NA and EU versions. If a person who didn't play LBP1 downloaded and uploaded the file to their PS3, then import it into LBP2, would that mean they would be getting the LBP1 items for free? | 2011-01-22 03:47:00 Author: maddoggnick96 Posts: 272 |
Nope, it won't let you use foreign accounts to transfer data to LBP2. | 2011-01-22 03:50:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Exactly you will get a error saying you copied the save and didn't actually make it | 2011-01-22 03:59:00 Author: fodawim Posts: 363 |
Ok, that's good. I had a feeling Mm had this under control . | 2011-01-22 04:18:00 Author: maddoggnick96 Posts: 272 |
What if you played though LBP1 and got all the stuff. Then backed it up and put it on another PS3 but still under your account. Would that be considered a copy or would it work. My friend's PS3 broke so he'll probably end up doing this if it'll work. | 2011-01-22 04:19:00 Author: Kitkasumass Posts: 494 |

I'm pretty sure that will work I think it's just if it's been on more than one psn account. | 2011-01-22 04:22:00 Author: IAmChavez Posts: 142 |

I transfered my LBP 1 data and didn't have a problem importing to LBP 2. I guess as long as it's directly linked to your account, it's fine. | 2011-01-22 08:20:00 Author: Ninja_Gnome23 Posts: 198 |
I actually want this feature! As a creator more than a player, LBP1 was frustrating in locking me out of content. Anyone buying the game to make stuff ought to have access to all the content used to make stuff, surely? I feel there should be an option to unlock all the content, but the trophies can still be tied to actually collecting them, so that those who just want to dive in and make stuff can do so. TBH there were times LBP felt like a chore when I was playing the story mode not wanting to in order to collect objects, and that defeats the whole point of a game! I still don't have the dinosaur costume, and I can only get it by being beaten repeatedly with a heavy stick until I get lucky and can ace the city levels. | 2011-01-22 11:04:00 Author: Shifty Geezer Posts: 131 |
Yeah, I was never able to collect 100% of everything in LBP1 and 2, and most likely never will, which obviouly puts some limits in your usage of create mode. Heck, I'd even gladly pay for a DLC containing all the collectibles from both games. | 2011-01-22 18:29:00 Author: wizaerd Posts: 159 |

I feel like this would go against Media Molecule's way of doing things, but I would gladly pay probably up to $10 even (which is still highly priced) for an "Unlock All Content" DLC Key, just like ModNation Racers finally added! That was such a smart move for people like me who really enjoy playing the games but rather not get frustrated after you spent like $80 on the Collector's Edition and just want to enjoy the disc to its full potential. After all, LittleBigPlanet strongly appeals to Casual Gamers and Acing every level is thus very hard in the eyes of its main target audience. | 2011-01-22 22:59:00 Author: Tap Dat App Posts: 108 |

I just want to start creating, but I feel that I can't without having every item in the game. I don't feel like smashing my controller trying to get all of them either. I'd easily pay $10 for them all to be unlocked. | 2011-01-23 07:20:00 Author: JakeCourtney Posts: 6 |
