He dreams about one of his previous adventures in the forest. This level is filled with cartoonish anime inspired artwork. STATISTICS: As of 1/21/2011 Created - 12/11/2010 Last Update - 12/11/2010 # of Plays - 36 <3 - 6 Current Rating - :star::star::star::star: Graphically this level has some charm. You begin by seeing 'Blue' in bed taking a nap. The characters created by DarrienEven is certainly his strongest point. Each character had the anime feel to it and you couldn't help but smile at the cheerfulness they brought to the level. Colors of the characters were spot on and brought them to life. As well as the design of the mushrooms that litter the landscape. All of this charm is brought to a halt when you begin a climb down into what appears to be a tree trunk. Each edge is an eye splitting 90 degree angle. To the average eye, it may not be as explicit, but to my own, it immediately took me away from the beautifully created creatures. There was no use of he corner editing tool here which would have made the descent down far more easier on the eyes. Nothing too engaging or enthralling. Was an interesting choice in music change as you venture through a portion of poisonous gas but it does however prepare you for the battle at the end. Some associated sounds felt a tad bit off, such as the switches that make a snapping sound as you travel through the tree trunk. Certainly was on the easy side in difficulty, but it did have variety that was not expected as you progressed through the level. There was some occasional spots where your little sackperson can get trapped, but other than that, it was done well. From jumping, the use of the jetpack and of course to the paintinator, it was a fun little adventure. If only the level was more engaging by perhaps utilizing all three layers, by more decorations as well and by utilizing the corner editing tool things could get smoothed out. This level was fantastic in its own right, it just lacked the polish you would find from an experienced creator. However, with that being said, this is DarrienEven's first level and I can certainly see enormous potential. This is a creator to keep an eye on. Have you ever played battletoads for the Nes? The part with the jetpack going up a tower was inspired by the turbo tunnel. With the turns and such I feel utterly ashamed to say that I have yet to play that on the NES.... ....Here I thought I was the ultimate gamer...
