Acting For A Sackbot?

| OK, so my problem lies within the ability to Act out your Sackbot actions. I understand how to do it and everything, thats not the problem. My issue is that the reason I have to record an act for him is because I need him to change layers at a specific time to coincide with the cut-scene. He has to step off a platform being lowered from the ceiling right at the right time. I can accomplish that part, but the problem lies within connecting the beginning of the acting to a Toggle which is located on a Sequencer. for some reason, no matter what I try he doesn't respond to the toggle & just goes when the change to Play in Create mode. This particle Toggle switch is hooked up to 5 other objects, even one on the same Sackbot circuitboard, and all others work fine.
