LBP2 and LBP1 Prefixes for Level Showcase

| Seeing as how both Little Big Planet 1 and 2 levels are going into the same showcase, I think there should be a prefix implemented like the F4F thing. It make the showcase much more organized, and make it easier for people to find levels for a specific game. Great minds think alike  However, it would be nice to know before we go into the level thread if it was LBP2 or 1. Maybe along with the prefix "F4F" option, we could have another for "LBP1" or "LBP2"? | I've been looking into this for quite a while - ever since we were able to distinguish LBP2 and LBP1 levels automatically, actually. Problem is, a limitation with the vBulletin software - namely, the way prefixes function - makes it quite difficult to implement. I'll have to a) find a new way to distinguish LBP1 and LBP2 content (I'm thinking something a little sleeker than a prefix) and b) find a way to sort by that information. I'm not sure how difficult it'll be to get working because I've yet to dig into the code, but my guess is it won't be an easy task. Either way, we're definitely working on a solution. EDIT: Progress has been made - hurray! I can't really reveal what or how just yet (it's definitely an unfinished feature), but suffice to say I've sorted the toughest obstacles. | Hey CC, I like the new look and filter option! I'm not sure it's perfect though. I filtered to search for all LBP2 levels on the 'Cool Levels' page and only 3 came up, and 2 of the 3 were actually LBP1 levels. This (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=4783-Project-Flux) being one of them, and this (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=25428-Power-of-the-Planet-***SPOTLIGHTED!***) being the other. | 2011-01-23 05:43:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |
