I think it's probably a misunderstanding somewhere, but I think we should send one collective email as a representation of the site. That might do a lot more than hundreds of people spamming their inobxes?

i mentioned this on another thread but was reassured this wasn't the case, but it seems my fears are true This better be changed by release. Also, the article only takes it from one quote - and this quote may not mean no custom images. We'll see though eh.

... simple. Find out what the PSEye format is and convert to that before sticking on the ps3 hdd for uploady goodness, no? If not, would an old eye toy work the same? They're on clearance at the local walmart. :-p

Isn't the PSEye better with more high quality images? HD? Not in my experience, though I may be wrong. On a side note, I'm emailing them for my benefit - I could care less about custom stickers for my own levels. It is because the community wants it.

I have been thinking this was the case for a while now as they haven't mentioned the custom stickers for ages and whenever they mention stickers they have only talked about the ps-eye for ages Knew it the so and so's A way for Sony to force people into buying the ps3 camera as they know soooooooo many people will but this game and want to custom up they're levels. Also i might be because of copyright as if you have taken the pic yourself then it is easier to pass it off as original then if you just nick it off the internet or scan it. I dunno

I don't really think I need custom images either. Well, if I do I have the PS3 Eye, so no problems there. I'm also pretty sure some guys will lend a hand to people who need custom textures by importing them to the game using their Eye. Would be nice to have image support though, regardless. But as I said, you could see from miles away that MM (and Sony) wants to have people make the levels with the tools, with as little external material as possible.

(yeah yeah it'll get taken down. i don't care - i'll make it private. i just want to make it look as good as possible). i already have it planned out. Go around shadow moses in MGS4 with the camera... take pictures of the walls and stuff i want to use... and save them to the hard drive from the main menu (which is easy) and then import them. if i can't do this - i'll be very dissapointed.

The difference is that the number of copyright infringements drops considerably when everyone has to go through the trouble of taking pictures with the Eye.

If i have to print out every picture, buy a PSEye, take low quality photos and import them that way i'll be quite annoyed. When they revealed LBP over a year ago they said directly from the hard drive, but not since. They can easily do it. True, but thats what they have the moderators for. I don't plan to make my levels i use the stickers on available to everyone.

Moderating ten thousand levels that are against the rules is more work than moderating a thousand. EDIT: It's obvious that they can do it ... even I can write a program that imports jpgs - it's just about what's the most sensible thing for them to do.

Isn't the PSEye better with more high quality images? HD? I think the Eye is much better then the Eye Toy (I have both). You can really see and hear a difference when you are video chatting

It doesn't auto-focus(does the Eye do that?) but it's a great camera. Hopefully LittleBigPlanet doesn't limit which camera you can use it with, so I don't have to buy another one.

the PSEYE has always been taking grainy pictures though...not to mention that it has a very short wire.... so you'll need to print the pictures to take a picture... (then again it could just be the EYECreate program) well thats just monopoly at it's finest, they pretty much just said "If you want to play our game you'll have to use our device, don't like it? find another game like LittleBigPlanet, oh wait their is none"

I know for a fact they read through forums and everything, and it's been said thousands of times, so if they're gonna release it they will, they really don't need their inboxes full of complaining e-mails. They never made a promise about giving us what we want, they just said they'll try to give us it. You've gotta remember, SONY want their EYE product to get as many sales as possible, so that's probably why they're leaving us in the dark on this. If you wanted the email address that badly, you could easily find it, but I for one won't give you it just to send some mail which they'd consider spam, seeing as they'd read the suggestion hundreds upon thousands of times.. Just be patient..
