I have just spent all of four hours attempting to import all of my dlc from lbp1... it turns out that my wanting to support MM and get the more-expensive collector's edition has actually turned out to be the worst thing I could have done. I understand that all of the dlc is psn-region locked, that's fine, I don't have a problem with that. I spent a fortune on my dlc and was happy to do so. Since all of my other game discs from all over the world have never had an issue with my psn account, I thought I was in the clear... not so. After all that time and frustration of trying to find out why it kept telling me to purchase all of my dlc from my import again (and after re-downloading everything to update licenses...) I discovered that the discs are region-encoded. It doesn't matter that I bought all of that content (nearly everything that MM released...) with the same psn account I'm using now, it will never recognise it, because the disc is locked to a specific location, which is not the same as my purchased dlc. I couldn't wait for lpb2 to come out, I pre-ordered the minute I heard about it... Why did MM choose to make the discs region-encoded? Why? Why wasn't it good enough that the dlc was locked to a specific region with my psn account? Normally I want to support my favourite games so much, but I'm just so disheartened by this.

That sucks mate. Region encoding is just a way for them to control the markets, so that they can continue to sell to the UK at a vastly inflated price and prevent us from buying cheap Chinese imports. It's not acceptable what has happened to you at all. I would be livid.

This came up frequently in the run up to release, perhaps you should have checked before you bought it.

This is not mm fault, this is how pss works. All dlc are region locked and it was mention here lot of times. This standard risk of gamę importing so you would check this deeply. Well theres probably not much you can do now, try ask your seller. If theres no way to get monet back all you can do is but your region lbp2 version.you can also try to trade
