The Living Level

hey everyone, I'm new here, as you can probably see. But I'll skip the long gretting and get straight down to business. This idea just came into my head. It would start as a rather.... organic looking platforming level, but every week, it expands. not in a V1 or V2 kind of way, but almost like a plant or tree, it will gain new obstacles and paths will change, making feel like a fresh experience each time? what do you think? | 2008-11-09 12:53:00 Author: demon scutter Posts: 15 |

That would be impossible since the game resets to starting point every time you join the game. i think what he meant was: if a player plays the level once he find maby 3-4 obstacles maby. when he plays the level a week later he starts at the same spot (obviusly) but the lvl now has 8-10 obstacles. and so on and so on. But you have to let the players know that it will change over time (realtime and long periods). the idea sounds very interesting but depends on how well all those sackboys and -girls listen to the creator and check back every once in a while. you probably have to let them know in the discription how far the lvl has grown. hope to see it soon :arg: | 2008-11-13 20:38:00 Author: Shanmuir Posts: 23 |

I though of having a Symbol of the Greek Alphabet at the start of the level showing what phase the level is in. e.g. Alpha= 1st phase Beta= 2nd phase Gamma=3rd Delta=4th Epsilon=5th ect. I was thinking the level could be 1 of 2 things: The evoloution of a community or The Growing of a tree, forest or plant. which should I do?
