What's the first Console Video Game you got?

I remember I got my Ps2 for Christmas, and the first game I bought was Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal. I loved the WHOLE series, and I always will!

Nothing makes you feel old like hearing a person's first console was a PS2

I remember a couple key games:
I had pacman on the atari and was playing it one day and the machine caught fire (the golden age of console games there folks)
The first console that was really mine though was my master system on which I remember playing "enduro racer" now that was a game (which you could probably recreate in LBP2)		2011-01-21 01:02:00

My first game was SSX on PS2.

Im not a particularly 'young' guy, but I didn't get a console for christmas till I was nearly hitting the teens!

The first system I played was my friend's NES but the first game got was Super Mario All Stars for the SNES. Imo that was the last good Mario game, I stopped liking Mario after he got his third dimension but that's just me.2011-01-21 09:05:00

Those were banned from my house as a child.

SNES was my first system, but PS1 was the first console. I remember playing Spyro on that sucker till late at night. Trips to blockbuster every Friday to renew the rental.
But Spyro, I remember skateboarding around the world, collecting eggs (or something), and hating the cheetah (?) companion for abandoning you at the end. Good times.		2011-01-21 16:17:00

My parents bought me a PS1 for christmas, it wasn't my first gaming experience though. As I played games on my PC and games on my friends N64.

My first console was the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I guess the first game I owned was the one that came with it, Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. I played NES for several years until the PS1 came out. I think the PS was out for a year or so before I got it. Well, the first home computer we owned was a Spectrum ZX ;
Spent many a long hour in my childhood playing the fantastic Elite - that gave me a life long love of gaming.
I don't miss the half hour cassette loading times though.

And I've been waiting since then for them to release a game bigger and better in scope than Elite... I'm still waiting 		2011-01-21 17:30:00

The first Playstation (Ironically enough, we didn't buy another Sony Entertainment Console until my most recent console purchase, the PS3. Funny how things go full circle, huh?). The first actual game I had was Croc 2. I also wasted time on a demo disc that came with the game that included demo versions of Tekken and Klonoa... Oddly enough, I never got a memory card for the Playstation, which meant that I never really got far. But I was young, and easily amused.2011-01-21 17:49:00

What'd be worse, is putting the cassette on to load - go away and have your dinner - then come back to a "Fatal Syntax Error" message on screen - and you'd have to rewind the cassett and try all over again.

First one I had was a Sega Megadrive/Genesis in about '96.

I'm not sure about the first game I had, but I remember playing these: Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, The Revenge of Shinobi, Columns, Super Monaco and some Football game. I borrowed The Lion King and Aladdin off a friend at some point aswell.		2011-01-25 10:20:00

umm well for decades i have been going to other peoples houses and playing on their consoles.
in late 2007 i got a psp and sonic rivals and crash tag team racing.

Nintendo 64 maybe?

Nintendo 64 was my first, xbox 360 was my second, then playstation three third, then a wii, then a super gaming computer. I need to make up my mind

Mine was Duck Hunter on NES, old classic game, I cant even remember half of it XD but sometimes when watching a video of it takes me back, I love the feeling.

I can still pull my NES out of my cupboard at any time and play duckhunt. It still works perfectly thanks to the rugged and simple design.
Can;t say that about any modern console - I've been through 6 Xbox 360's and 3 PS3's (so far) 		2011-01-27 12:20:00

I know, it's my own fault really... you see what I'm doing is using them to play games on... reckless I know, but I'm crazy like that

So far I've had 5 Red Rings of Deaths on the 360's (currently on my 6th and despite what they say about fixing the issue, I still expect it to conk out any minute)
And 2 yellow lights of death on the PS3's (currently on my 3rd).

I really have no idea it was quite a long time ago. I can't even recall the first game I got on any of the consoles I own now nevermind one I had about 15 - 20 years ago

While I am somewhat new to owning a console myself, (my parents didn't like having them in the house) my first being an N64 I bought about 2007-ish and have played Super Mario 64 on it, as well as smash brothers, F1 zero, etc., (total of about 19 different games for that system) I have been playing consoles since Mario/Duck Hunt. I also have a Gamecube with one of the maddens I don't play and smash brothers melee. I own a PS2 with Shadow of the Colossus and a PS3 (ofc) with LBP, LBP2, and Monopoly Streets (total crapola). But my FAVORITE retro game has to be Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure for PC. It's a game out of 1992 that I am going, along with a couple of others, to translate into LBP2. That was from back in the day when it was the height of cool to have multi scroling (up/down AND left/right AT THE SAME TIME!) and real music tracks.
Oh, yeah. And my grandparents had an original Donkey Kong arcade machine in their basement I wasted probably a year total on. I really wish they had told me they were going to sell it so I could have bought it.		2011-01-29 04:40:00

The first console I played on was the NES, with the game Dr. Mario. My auntie still has it.

The first console my family owned was the N64, with the games Banjo-Kazooie and Kobe Bryant's NBA Jam. My sis' doesn't use it anymore so I kept it.

The first console I owned was the PS2, with the EyeToy. I still think the Kinect is a rip-off of the EyeToy to this day. -_-		2011-01-29 04:51:00

I had 3, actually. And 4 copies of Super Mario World.

My first console was the trusty old Sega Mega Drive with sonic at the helm, But ive also owned everything inbetween, ZX Spectrum, Commador 64 and Vic 20 and Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200, Sega Master system and Gamegear, Nintendo 64 and Original Gameboy, PS2 and PS3 of course , But im still on the fence about getting an XBOX to keep her indoors happy haha, Safe to say ive had my fair share of consoles through the years 2011-01-31 03:39:00

geez, I started on the atari 2600 with pac man, yar's revenge, pitfall. then I got the nes, snes, sega genisis, sega cd, game gear, pc, gameboy, playstion 1,2,and 3, xbox 360 and Wii and just got a sweet pc gaming rig. Wow! that's a lot of dough spent on gaming2011-02-11 00:12:00

First console I played was a Sega Genesis, I believe. Don't really remember what game though. All I know is, it belonged to my parents and my cousin and I were much to young to be playing it.

Also had a PS1 in the house growing up, thus my addiction to Resident Evil was born.

The first console I owned though (x-mas present), was a Nintendo 64 with Banjo-Kazooie. I've had pretty much every one from there on (or my family did any way). GameBoy Color, Gamecube, PS2, DS, Wii, Xbox360 (deceased), PS3.

Christmas, probably about 92 or 93. Got a Super Nintendo bundled with Super Mario World... definitely one of the best days of my life.

I guess it would be Sonic 2 which came with the Megadrive, though I remember playing a skiing game and Elite on the BBC Micro but I guess that wouldn't be thought of as a console-you had to plug it into your recorder and play games from videotapes haha, technology has improved though I miss the instant loading times of cartridges.2011-03-18 01:39:00
