Please help me, I'm miserable (this is about copying/importing profiles)

Archive: 5 posts

So here's the thing, a few weeks ago I created my own PSN account, I used to use my dad's but he told me to get my own. My whole LBP profile was in that account, so I copied it to my new one. Everything was going fine and dandy until I got LBP2. My profile didn't seem to have been imported to LBP2, so once all the intros and blablabla were over, I went to the pause menu and tried to import my profile. It said I couldn't do so, because it was copied, even though I saved it as my own last time I played LBP1. I tried everything (I think) and nothing has worked. I have 4 daya off school and I was soooo looking foward to playing LBP2 this weekend...the dream's coming to an end now Please please please, pretty please with a cherry on top help me, a poor girl who has no social life because of this game.
If you do reply, thank you for your concern in advance.

Did you try backing up the profile in LBP1?
Or importing a different Profile?

I don't know how to fix this
but there are tutorials and help threads flying around dealing with importing profiles and people troubleshooting import glitches. So one of those might be able to help you.

I did back up my LBP1 profile, it still says it's copied, makes no sense

Just so I'm clear - did you Export your lbp1 profile from your psn or from your dads?

If you made a backup from your own psn in lbp1, then imported it, it should work. You may want to settle for importing the lbp1 resources rather than your profile if it means you can play right away.

I did, still doesn't work, I'm just going to tell my dad to put up with my friends and I'll stay with his profile...yay for being lazy
