It seems i am unable to import my lbp 1 profile, because my save is "copied". Why does it even matter if it is? Now i have to get all my dlc prize bubble, all lbp1 stpry mode bubbles all over again, and im pretty disappointed with this. Is there any way around it? Because this is pretty darn silly.

Oh dang, really? loey1884's going to be dissapointed, his profile is a copy of mine, his PS3 broke, twice. This is going to be killer to him. Nothing I can offer to help, I don't have it, sorry.

Have you tried to just push Import collected objects under back-up profile as a work around? I'm not sure, but that may work. *mew

I was thinking of not importing my LBP1 profile first, just because All the DLC costumes would get in the way of the LBP2 ones, But I guess that that's not a good idea :/

Well, I can understand the choice of not rewarding copied saves. I mean, why do you have a copied save in the first place? Yours got corrupted? It's not "cool" but understandable you can't use a copied save.

This happened to my friend, except it's actually HIS save file. You see, he was coming over and so, to keep up with his save file, he copied it to my PS3. Then, when he was leaving, he copied it back to the USB drive, then back to his PS3 at his house. He went to go play LBP2 on Tuesday, and wasn't able to import his LBP1 save file.

that's good imo because copied saves would just of become the new h4h in lbp2,people could get the platinum without even playing the game at all... Did you even get anything in LBP1 in the first place? It sucks for you I guess but it makes the game better overall, by your op it seems like your admitting ypu never did anything in the game but play online levels or create mode with only downloading a copied save for the trophy's & prize bubbles. It's not silly at all either it's smart & for a point.

So is there currently no work around to this? Because, I don't want to have to unlock everything in the first game to 100%. I just want to have all the content for LBP2. Wonder if we can wait till someone puts out a Little Big Planet 2 game save with all the LBP 1 stuff unlocked. Think it's stupid that you don't automatically get all the content from LBP1 even though you have the game.

I didnt just copy a save file, i got everything myself. The only reason i copied it is because i randomly banned a couple years ago. I copied my lbp save to another file to continue working on it, and when the ban was up i moved it back because i ad a substantial amount of the level done. I didnt know it would have such consequences. And a lot of people got their saves corrupt in lbp1, and might not have wanted to collect everything again. I think its sort of silly to punish people for making a choice like that. This is ending up causing me a lot of grief and hundreds of hours of work just because MM wanted to be a bully and tell people what they can they can and cant do in a game all about freedom.

We paid for the game, it doesn't hurt anyone of defraud anyone or ruin anyone's day if someone is using a copied save, so why bother creating this hassle for people like Jrange who was simply using a backup copy of his OWN save? As was mentioned, a LOT of people had problems with corrupted saves in LBP1 and we were TOLD to make copies! (this was long before they added the backup feature) I did it many times. I guess it's only the luck that my profile never got corrupted so I never had to use my backups that has spared me from this problem. Pretty lame...

It doesnt hurt anybody but themselves if they cheated anyways, because collecting stuff is fun. And the more i think about it, the more it becomes apparent that theres almost no correlation between copied saves and importing. It has no impact on lbp 2 so why even put in a restriction like this? Im usually not one to come on these boards and complain about things, because this game is amazing, but i had to vent about this ridiculous feature.

I suggested to Mm that they should sell a 100% unlock key in the PSN store. My 100% save got corrupted. I have been doing all the DLC levels to get some of the materials. Modnation has something similar in the store.

It does hurt someone though it hurts MM because then anyone could download a save file & not have to purchase the original LBP1 making the game pretty much useless & they would lose money. They won't make a dlc for all items either because they want you to buy the first game & get the items from that. You can use a copied save if it is copied from you & it hasn't been transfered around on more than one psn account too... Like if you backed up your save file then your game got corrupted it would still work with LBP2. MM told you to back up your profile but hey did not tell you to put it on other psn accounts. My friend who got me into LBP had his profile corrupted twice & had backups & his profile works fine on LBP2.

Well, if they don't go the unlock DLC route than screw em. I'll just wait for a 100% LBP2 game save with 100% of the LBP1 content in it. Sure not playing LBP1 to get all that stuff.
