Just Finished Acing All Story Levels.

And oh man, does it feel good! The fact that I have one load off story level-playing, having to avoid death at all cost or repent by having to restart the level from the begining, and having to rewatch countless mini-unskippable cutscenes isn't nice at all, its as if checkpoints were utterly useless. (Which they were.) XD) Now all that's left for me to do is get all 100% items on the levels I'm still missing it, and I'm all set to create! So, anyone else aced them all as well, or wants to help me find all items? | 2011-01-20 15:44:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
yea i went the hardcore route too. no advancing til i aced what i was on and snagged every prize. i've got 100% up to the Asylum where i need the 4x, and whatever multix are in the Cosmos levels. you know where to find me... too bad we still have that stupid loading screen bug from the beta when cooping | 2011-01-20 15:54:00 Author: Unknown User |
I got 100% prizes from story and mini challenges. I need to Ace 7 more levels. Most in the Cosmos. | 2011-01-20 16:48:00 Author: blastroid Posts: 262 |
... :O I haven't even aced the LBP1 story mode or got 100% everywhere. | 2011-01-20 17:03:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Lucky guys...! I have a long way to go to the 100%... also some of the mini games are really hard to get the required score points .... #syroc : Really..? oh you're missing a lot of good items for creating.. | 2011-01-20 17:07:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
maaaaaaan, you guys are fast. I got the game yesterday evening but only went through the first world lol | 2011-01-20 17:43:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Lucky guys...! also some of the mini games are really hard to get the required score points .... Do these multiplayer since all players go along for the multiplier score bonus. For example have one player as the main point bubble grabber and other players as the cleanup and to keep the multiplier going. | 2011-01-20 17:55:00 Author: blastroid Posts: 262 |
Hokey smokes!! That was quick! lol Were you trying to set some other kind of Guiness record there? | 2011-01-20 18:01:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
I haven't even finished the story mode yet. I can't wait till they fixed the Loading Screen bug so that we can use co-op to get the 2x 3x and 4x parts. | 2011-01-20 18:43:00 Author: The-Unknown-Thief Posts: 49 |
I finished Acing all but 2 levels last night, and have %100 on everything I can do without the aid of other players. I'm almost too stoked with the new materials to even bother getting the rest right now, but I'll probably finish getting everthing this weekend. Also, I'm in the same boat as Syroc... I never bothered to get everything in LBP (stupid wheel of death!), but I have all the really good create materials and deco's from it so it's still not much of a priority to go back and finish. Maybe someday though. | 2011-01-20 18:52:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
I'm savoring the story mode. I'm in no hurry to get my 100%. I did go through and get all the Aces out of the way for DaVinci though. | 2011-01-20 18:55:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
im about 91% done collecting everything and I still need to ace 15 levels. I hope I can have it all done tonight so I can create with all items thank godness for guides | 2011-01-20 19:04:00 Author: WESFUN Posts: 1336 |
I aced them all last night. I just need the x4 stuff in Bang for Buck & Case Del Higginbotham now for my 100% prize bubbles. I can help you get some prize bubbles if you haven't get the already. | 2011-01-20 19:09:00 Author: IAmChavez Posts: 142 |

You ace the first level?? :O The first playable one - ya, pretty sure I did. Now I gotta check when I get home. lol | 2011-01-20 20:50:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
'cause you have to use the retry at some point. Should not be aceable. | 2011-01-20 20:54:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
You know I thought that too but the second time I played it I'm fairly sure it didn't drop. Might have a memory for if you've played it already? I'll look when I get home to verify this. | 2011-01-20 21:05:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Second time through there is a sticker switch, when activated it skips the part where you have to re-try. | 2011-01-20 21:11:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
Remember Ranger, LBP1's 1st level was the same. | 2011-01-20 21:15:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I haven't even aced the LBP1 story mode or got 100% everywhere. Well, you are over 100 years old - maybe your reflexes aren't quite what they used to be? | 2011-01-20 21:21:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
I have a small question, I haven't had the chance to play through story mode yet, but I was wondering if you got materials similar to the ones on the original Craft Earth and Moon, or if there is some way to make them like they were in LBP1. | 2011-01-20 22:07:00 Author: JamesDNaux Posts: 757 |
Just curious - how difficult are these to ace compared to LBP1? (I've done LBP1 twice (all aced & 100%), and I'd rate those about 8/10 on difficulty) | 2011-01-20 22:50:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |

They default to materials similar to the lbp1 moon and earth. You can change it to other materials but if you don't change them they are very similar to the original. | 2011-01-20 22:53:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Getting the game tomorrow but want to know: What sort of prizes are they? Costumes or Concept art or other? | 2011-01-20 22:56:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |
Getting the game tomorrow but want to know: What sort of prizes are they? Costumes or Concept art or other? Costumes, stickers, decos, objects, and music. It really varies depending on the level you ace. I don't think I've gotten any concept art, though! | 2011-01-21 00:26:00 Author: TheZimInvader Posts: 3149 |
the Ace prizes do vary quite a bit compared to LBP. | 2011-01-21 00:31:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
I still don't have the game de to financial, and time, and a few other problems. T.T could be next weekend before i get the game, could be tomorrow. I have no idea, just depends on when my dad has the money, and we have the time, to run to gamestop to get it. | 2011-01-21 02:19:00 Author: flamesterart Posts: 585 |
Just curious - how difficult are these to ace compared to LBP1? (I've done LBP1 twice (all aced & 100%), and I'd rate those about 8/10 on difficulty) Overall the difficulty is similar, but there are a couple outliers. Like in LBP1 there's one annoyingly difficult to ace level with too many explosives early on, then it's back to not-too-bad until the last few levels, which ramp up the difficulty again. The only really annoying thing is if you retry on a later part of a linked level sequence it puts you back to the start of the first level in the sequence. | 2011-01-21 05:34:00 Author: Balorn Posts: 92 |
I aced everything but the very last battle. It certainly is easier this time around. No more 'bunker'. Thank god. It gets really close to it tho at points. Just preserveer. You'll have more chance of beating it without the lag of multiplayer. | 2011-01-21 06:07:00 Author: Cheezy WEAPON Posts: 283 |
98% goodies and 2 left to ace. 26 more items to unlock. | 2011-01-21 07:05:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |
I hope to Ace everything by the end of today then do a multiplayer sweep for the 2X/3X/4X prize bubbles. Ninja and I did some 2x stuff last night but then we got caught up playing a few spectacular community levels. Although I Aced everything in LBP and collected pretty much everything, I had the NA version of the game and I cannot import any of that stuff into my EU copy of LBP2, not to happy about it lol. Worse comes to worse I might have to buy the EU GOTY version of LBP and get everything back again... | 2011-01-21 07:12:00 Author: OCK Posts: 1536 |
Second time through there is a sticker switch, when activated it skips the part where you have to re-try. Where is that sticker? I can't find it. | 2011-01-21 07:15:00 Author: tomodon246 Posts: 624 |
Man, I finished the 2 first worlds and this game is SOOO GOOOOOD!! | 2011-01-21 07:22:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
That's what I would do too... There's no way I can enjoy the levels until I've taken everything there is to get. | 2011-01-21 07:28:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
If you ever have trouble on the very last boss, just stay in one place during the last part and jump in place. It's a lot easier that way. When you get the cake, wait for him to come down completely, do a TINY hop, then toss! It feels so good acing him haha Also, the controller trick works for getting 2x/3x/4x, just plug in a usb controller (make sure it has an analogue stick!) and you'll have your very own dummy sack to control. Just keep in mind he's not going to work unless your ambidextrous, so that bomb prize in Clive's level is going to be nearly impossible with more than one dummy. | 2011-01-21 09:43:00 Author: Cheezy WEAPON Posts: 283 |
I'm trying to think how long it took me to do on LBP1. Not sure how quickly i played through all levels, certainly took me months to ace all levels, (it wasn't the only thing i did though, i kept coming back to it at times trying to do a couple more ) And it's only last year i got all prize bubbles after doing it with randoms. Not looking to rush this game by any means. Played through Dave Vinci once last night minus the side levels, and ended up getting 70/80% of prize bubbles and a couple of level Ace's. I'm not interested in trying to ace the game any time soon though. Take my time, it's not as if they'll release LBP3 in 12months time. | 2011-01-21 10:51:00 Author: Mkwone Posts: 104 |
how do you ace the first level in divinchi's place? | 2011-01-21 13:04:00 Author: manboy777 Posts: 20 |
how do you ace the first level in divinchi's place?. You have to use the sticker switch in the level. You get the glasses trigger sticker in the level right after that. | 2011-01-21 13:15:00 Author: IAmChavez Posts: 142 |
I really need to get online at home. I don't have any of the multiplayer items from LBP 1. | 2011-01-21 15:26:00 Author: Biv Posts: 734 |
They default to materials similar to the lbp1 moon and earth. You can change it to other materials but if you don't change them they are very similar to the original. Very similar yes, but I wanted my planet and moon exactly as they were in LBP1. The new ones look faded, and the water on the Earth doesnt have the same wavy pattern. | 2011-01-21 20:25:00 Author: JamesDNaux Posts: 757 |
Just aced everything myself! Now to go back and get the multiplayer bubbles. Anyone up for some co-op? Full Metal Rabbit was really hard to ace, especially at the end with those laser stairs. | 2011-01-22 00:37:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |
I want to enjoy the game - no point rushing through! Ah well, different people like playing games in their own ways... | 2011-01-22 00:47:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
I want to enjoy the game - no point rushing through! Ah well, different people like playing games in their own ways... Is there a slow motion option? Playing through it and enjoying everything still does not take too long. After you enjoy the story once it is time to start the OCD collection. | 2011-01-22 04:38:00 Author: blastroid Posts: 262 |
UPDATE: Completed... now to get into the 'Platinum Club'... | 2011-01-22 11:58:00 Author: Unknown User |
I aced every boss level... And long story short: Crash=BAAAAAAAAAAD Now i'm gonna be playing the game all over again just to unlock everything I had back. | 2011-01-22 12:30:00 Author: davestanley Posts: 87 |
i'm doing it level by level 100% and acing before i can go on to the next, and i'll never have to look back at them again... some are very frusterating! | 2011-01-22 21:40:00 Author: adalond Posts: 84 |
