Copied profile????
Archive: 8 posts
A while ago when I first got LBP1, a bug in the PS3 caused the whole hard-drive to reset. My profile was somehow recovered, but when I returned to LBP, the game said I had copied my profile from another user, disabling my trophies but I didn't care so I played LBP1 for a year+. Now that LBP2 is out, I can't import my old profile. It says I copied my profile from another user still, but I didn't! I'm really sad/angry right now. I don't want over a years worth of costumes, objects, stickers, etc. to all goto waste! Please Help! The whole game is pretty much ruined for me now. I don't even feel like playing it. | 2011-01-19 21:48:00 Author: darth621 Posts: 43 |
Please Help! Probably not much you can do, but if you can adjust your PSN login info on your current account to match what it was when the profile was last saved prior to losing the PS3 data, it might recognize it as belonging to you. | 2011-01-19 21:54:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
I have tried that, but it didn't work....... | 2011-01-19 21:59:00 Author: darth621 Posts: 43 |
I have tried that, but it didn't work....... Then you're out of luck I'm afraid - you'll have to create a new profile and complete the entire game again. FWIW, I was helping out someone else who had to do this, and they managed to get 100% and ace every level in 3 days. You can still transfer levels using the level export option. | 2011-01-19 22:06:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

That won't work it has to be the same PS3 data for it to think its the same player, and there's no way to do that i believe. Also I'm not sure but try to import collected objects thats right under back-up profile in your menu options. i hear that'll work somewhere, minds will give it a try. *mew | 2011-01-19 22:09:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
Importing objects doesn't work either. | 2011-01-19 22:24:00 Author: darth621 Posts: 43 |

When my PS3 got YLOD (but before I fixed it), I was able to transfer an old profile backup to a brand new PS3, but only to a local user account which had the same PSN login info as the old PS3, and it worked fine. | 2011-01-19 22:24:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

Hmmm... well here's something funny that happened to me. a long time ago before water i use to make copy back-ups on another Non online account from my main user. and onetime i pushed load LBP to go look how old everything in it was, then when i copy it back to ma main account it did not think i was the same user even thought it had the same name and was from the main account in the first place, but because i loaded it on account it messed up the save so it no longer could tell what account it belonged to. odd really. *mew | 2011-01-19 22:39:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
