Well, the other SUYS thread is really full of LBP costumes, and is still quite active, so I thought that a new thread for LBP2 costumes would be good. Also, we now have a much easier way to get our pictures onto here, so more people can post theirs!

Though not final (I'm messing around with the cool looking stuff I'm getting) this is my sackboy atm;

I'm rocking the full lightbulb costume w/ glowing eyes and box robot body. I love the metallic torso and light-up head, the lightbulb looks playful and fun. the box robot body makes it feel electronic, i also put a caution sign on that. i also used the bellydancer wrist thingies so my sackboy is noticable2011-01-20 23:36:00

Well, here's my sackboy. He's an ice mage, thus his cold, sharp appearance. I've used various pieces of the Moon Man outfit, as well as the Andreas Hat. He's been heavily stickered and decorated.

Based off of the character Stocking (http://yuinyan.imouto.org/sample/c2b87e66aa659c9142e1ceef0f522abb/moe%20161363%20sample.jpg) from an odd raunchy anime show. The costume itself is simple, with only a few pieces. However, almost every colour you see on the costume was a custom-made sticker, which is why this costume took about an hour to make.

Well that thread has about 950 posts, consisting mainly of LBP1 costumes. If someone was wanting to see some new costumes that where made in LBP2, finding them in that thread would be a real pain.

Alllrighty then. Now that I've got the much bigger Andreas Hat, and spurred on by Shadowcrazy's outrageous "mad hatter" costume, I decided to try and 1-Up him by adding my OWN twist to it...:

The good old fashioned wooden sword with the decorated iron posts from Da Vinci's level and the meter needle from Victoria's levels. The first sword used the light stud and composite wings from Avalonia.

The Second along with the iron posts and meter needles used the crystal 1 & 3 iirc from the Cosmos with the Thor wing from the Marvel pack.		2011-01-27 03:31:00

Been playing around with costumes a while now and I've been dying to show them off

Little Big Daddy (with obligatory "Ladies of the Night) - I find this outfit to be simultaneously very wrong and hilariously awesome at the same time. Most of the costume pieces are from LBP1 but it was only with the fur collar and crystal on top of the cane that the whole outfit really came together.

From left to right: Moon from when I finished LBP1, Moon 2.0 after playing most of the story in LBP2, Moon 3.0 after 100% and Acing LBP2.


I chose this design because I once played the role of the Moon in a theatre production, and he wore a white tuxedo and had a cane. I really took a liking the his character, so I decided to make my sackboy look like him when I got the main costume pieces in LBP1. I decided to give him some more flair once I got the moon staff and cape, and I think he turned out quite nicely.		2011-02-01 20:40:00

There's nothing covering his mouth. If you look at the picture again, that crease in the center of his face is his mouth. He is wearing the computerhead skin, which is why his face is patterned like that. The reason it looks like his eyes are partly covered is because those swirls aren't his real eyes, but actually decorations placed on top of the eyes, and because of this they go partly through his face, which is why you thought something was covering them.		2011-02-02 22:34:00

Hey! Don't talk like that! You just gotta mess around with the clothes and decos until you find something that looks sharp! Try putting a horn or crystal on a hand item like the spatula or something. Then just build the costume around your cool item! Think "who would use this and how?" I've made several costumes of the same sackboy, just in different jobs. Such as using the Ezio(assassin's creed) torso as a basis for an adventures suit. Or the Ethan(heavy rain) Jacket for mechanic coveralls. It's all about just thinking of a character, their way of life, and which costume pieces look most like what you imagine.		2011-02-03 20:31:00

A hint for anyone trying to fix Clank. If you put his head on a sackbot and make it really big you can take a pic of his metal color and use that sticker on the parts you add. It's not perfect, but it gets close.2011-02-08 01:36:00

I've changed PSN avatar around 4 times since I got LBP2, just restart your PS3 after changing avatar and then go into LBP2. It should work fine.		2011-02-14 07:30:00

No, I don't have that costume.


There's nothing covering his mouth. If you look at the picture again, that crease in the center of his face is his mouth. He is wearing the computerhead skin, which is why his face is patterned like that. The reason it looks like his eyes are partly covered is because those swirls aren't his real eyes, but actually decorations placed on top of the eyes, and because of this they go partly through his face, which is why you thought something was covering them.

From left to right:

-Devil version of my primary character from LBP1, of which the hair color was slightly improved on in LBP2. There were several versions of her in LBP1 with the same hairstyle + flowers but something about this one made it stick to being my main costume, so it's what I use most of the time. Only fitting because it probably took the most work to get perfect out of them all, and I absolutely love the way the sock puppet came out.

-My first real LBP2 costume, which was an effort to create a funky android-like version of the aforementioned OC. Thought it was worth keeping, and I especially like how I was able to include my insignia.

Yes you can! Just use an accessory that looks like a bow-tie! There are plenty accessories like that that you can stick onto your sackperson!

Do you mean like the white background? If so, just put a thin piece of white neon and put it on the far back layer. You can add some lights to make your sackboy look even cooler/prettier.

To get the wings like that i chose the single blue wing decoration from the avalon levels and placed them in a sequence getting smaller and tilting the angle slightly while keeping the attached point in the same place onto the back of the leaf wings (forget the name) stickered blue. I spent ALLOT of time getting both wings to match exactly.

I then chose the full wing decoration of the same wing type and stuck a small one on the tip of each wing angled so they appear to be part of the same wing. Also on the back, you can't see in the pic but you can when i'm using the pad in my pod there are 2 other small 'full' wings stuck on the back in the same place as the 2 on the front, and also again 2 on the middle of the back of each wing placed in a way that flows correctly so it looks as though the whole of the wings are made of these blue feathery type things.

They stay in place perfectly, He also has the (can't remember the name of the) skin that has the electric type flow going up across his skin, and the sparkly flashing anklets and bracelets, glistening philaments on his head and as the wings and beard flutter slightly theres allot of 'motion' to this outfit in part of lighting and a breezy kinda look. Plus it looks SOOOOO COOL when sackboy runs left or right, the wings kinda jostle left and right slightly as he runs and as they are set sort of 'back' at an angle coming off his back, the side profile looks equally as cool XD

Yah its my trademark outfit. Quite recently made, my old one wasn't anything like this, mainly Andrea's getup with a paintbrush in hand.

This sackboy is supposed to represent a merging of logic (rational) and the mystical (Imagination). Sort of a cybernetically bound wizard type Seraphim, fallen sublime.. Hence the name "Secraji" A kinda quasi-merging of the words Logic and Seraphim.		2011-02-23 13:18:00
