Steve Jobs Has Cancer

So, I was going around reading stuff and found this out today. http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2011/01/18/steve-jobs-went-to-switzerland-in-search-of-cancer-treatment/ This is brand new news to me, but judging by the fact that no one seems to be talking about it, I'm guessing I was the only person to not know this? Article talks about Job's medical leaves from Apple, the type of treatment he's getting, and the... slightly messed up way they got the story. Which is, Fortune's source (Apple director Jerry York) died in June, so they saw their agreement to keep it out of the news as basically null. So they ran it now. | 2011-01-18 23:18:00 Author: KoingWolf ![]() Posts: 386 |
I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe it until I hear it from Engadget, Gizmodo or MacRumours. In the meantime, lets assume he's got something a little less... you know... terminal. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kA15Rbq67OE/TS0inl3PJrI/AAAAAAAAAEU/avsBa72xuec/s1600/aw44.jpg | 2011-01-18 23:29:00 Author: Weretigr ![]() Posts: 2105 |
I heard about this yesterday from one of my cousins, since he works with Apple. I guess this means Apple prices are going to drop significantly, no? | 2011-01-18 23:30:00 Author: dragonember ![]() Posts: 607 |

In the meantime, lets assume he's got something a little less... you know... terminal. ...] I got it from Gawker, which linked to Fortune. I don't know though.. maybe in a couple days it will be proven or shown to be false.. (Gawker = Gizmodo, if you somehow didn't know that...) | 2011-01-18 23:37:00 Author: KoingWolf ![]() Posts: 386 |
I guess this means Apple prices are going to drop significantly, no? Why on earth would they do that? Even if they did lose Steve, that would be no reason to lower all the prices... | 2011-01-18 23:40:00 Author: Weretigr ![]() Posts: 2105 |
I meant the Company, not the actual products. Surely after such a loss, I imagine Apple as a company WILL lose some value. Just a little theory of mine. | 2011-01-18 23:44:00 Author: dragonember ![]() Posts: 607 |

I seem to remember a rumour a while back that he had AIDS too. I refuse to believe it until I hear it from something more official. | 2011-01-19 00:15:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt ![]() Posts: 1477 |

It is true that he has had medical leave I heard it on the News after he sent an email to all employees saying that he is taking medical leave and hopes to be back soon. I know Jobs had cancer in 2003 and he had a transplant in 2009 so the medical leave could be to do with that. Anyway I hope he gets better soon because he is a genius that saved apple. P.s i typed this on a apple product an iPad ![]() | 2011-01-19 22:02:00 Author: OriginalCreator ![]() Posts: 217 |
