Been waiting forever to start LBP2 up with the same friend I beat LBP with. Well.. We started together today and not only is there at least a 1 second lag on everything we do together, (from either side hosting and I've read on the forums that other people have this issue) but we have this stupid loading error. The loading bar 80% of the time literally gets to about 75-99% and STOPS, and then jumps back and forth like it's having a seizure. The game never loads and the only way to get out of it is to stop the game completely, restart ps3, or the easiest way... have your friend kick you and send your butt back to your own pod. It's been happening to both of us- when the level is first loading AND smack dab in the middle of one. "LOL I'M GUNNA POP UP THIS LOADING SCREEN JUST BECAUSE AND PHAIL TO LOAD AND LAUGH AT YOUR PAIN." You make me sad LBP2. You make me sad. Also, my friend and I are playing online together, it's not on the same console. Sometimes we have to leave the game and re-invite each other 5 or 6 times before we can play half a level and do it all over again. Help? Or anyone else having this problem? I understand this is first day launch and all, but it's ridiculous a game so centered on multiple players can't properly run in multiplayer. I keep editing this junk. Please don't get me wrong I'm already in love with this game. I just want it to work so I can play with my friends like I've been anticipating since the announcement of LBP2. | 2011-01-18 21:22:00 Author: FoxOfTwilight Posts: 4 |

Lbp2 is absolultey friggin broken. I you have dissapointed me media molecule. Could you stop? LBP2 isn't a complete failure. It just has a few bugs that Mm hadn't anticipated would be in the full game - the beta wasn't the full game - it was a small part of it. | 2011-01-18 21:33:00 Author: Richasackboy Posts: 619 |

How can they forget to anticipate that people was going to play online with friends? I'm kinda with Gta-man on this one... This issue was mentioned by the testers as soon as beta 1.02 or 1.03 (I forgot, but the one with "legal" Online Create) was launched. This was not that long before the game went gold, but I at least expected a downloadable fix as soon as we got the retail version And this goes for the Giant Craft Earth bug (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=41430-HORRIBLE-LBP2-Glitch) as well! Off-topic EDIT: When I'm at it - Have anyone tested whether the Randomiser logic tool is actually random? This wasn't the case in the last two versions of the Beta... | 2011-01-18 21:50:00 Author: Slaeden-Bob Posts: 605 |
I never did like that loading bar. We had the exact same problem after a patch in the beta with the spaztastic loading bar that we'd get stuck in for up to 5 minutes or so. After there was some server work done, the loading bar issue magically disappeared. Oh well...I'm still quite excited about my copy arriving. *clings to window waiting for the UPS guy* | 2011-01-18 21:59:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
How can they forget to anticipate that people was going to play online with friends? LBP2 was perfected as a single player game so that people without internet connections would not need updates. If there are glitches in multiplayer, it's not a big deal. Just wait a few months and everything will be sorted out. | 2011-01-18 22:04:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
Few months?! A few months?! We've waited since the november delay and im not willing to wait another ******* month. | 2011-01-18 22:10:00 Author: Screeno Posts: 153 |
Few months?! A few months?! We've waited since the november delay and im not willing to wait another ******* month. What did you say mom? Cookies AFTER dinner!? NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Gimme cookies NOW! *explodes* But seriously, the game has been availible for only 17 hours give them some time to patch the bugs, and in a months time if these problems haven't been fixed, than you can start complaining. I can't even play the game until the weekend, hoping that the bugs are patched by then... Still sucks that they haven't gotten these things ironed out yet. | 2011-01-18 22:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
LBP2 was perfected as a single player game so that people without internet connections would not need updates. If there are glitches in multiplayer, it's not a big deal. Just wait a few months and everything will be sorted out. This honestly isn't meant to be rude or anything nor is it directed at you but.. It really better not be months. We already had to wait for the push back- again, understandable. Bugs and glitches are to be expected but something like this that is basically making-at least my- multiplayer unplayable is kind of wack. Between the lag that's just bad enough to get you killed a lot and the constant insta-loop loading screens that sometimes make you force close the game.. I don't think it's really fair. It's making me upset because I really, truly love LBP and I already feel like I'm in love with LBP2. I want to play. I don't care if it lags and every now and then has a problem, it's to be expected. But being able to play with my friend at all would be nice. This whole thing kind of makes me want to take my sackboy plush and bang it against my TV until it subliminally forces the game to work right. | 2011-01-18 22:16:00 Author: FoxOfTwilight Posts: 4 |
Few months?! A few months?! We've waited since the november delay and im not willing to wait another ******* month. You're overreacting. It's gotta be hard to keep the server up with so much demand after launch, just wait patiently. Besides, a lot of people don't even have the game yet | 2011-01-18 22:16:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
Now don't make stupid comparisons. All this comes down to is bad customer commitment. A company needs to put their majority of cusomers first, otherwise they miss out on the raw profit. Yes, I am a complainer, but please, don't push your luck LBP333. | 2011-01-18 22:20:00 Author: Screeno Posts: 153 |

Media Molecule? They have deadlines. It was already pushed back once... what do you think that second delay will do? GT5 may have been able to pull it off, but I doubt LBP could. | 2011-01-18 22:32:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |
Few months?! A few months?! We've waited since the november delay and im not willing to wait another ******* month. You mad bro? Seriously, just chill. It should be understood that Mm will be taking care of things soon enough, so just chill. And btw, chill. And btw, if you are this mad about a game having bugs, you need a hug. | 2011-01-18 22:46:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
And btw, if you are this mad about a game having bugs, you need a hug. And when you are giving him that hug you can slip him the sedative, or...I mean...*cough* the "Chill Pill" | 2011-01-18 23:57:00 Author: Unknown User |

Like someone above me said, 'oh no, 17 hours and they haven't fixed the problems' - In reality, it's 'oh no they probably didn't realise how many people would want to play the game and that they wouldn't be able to handle it'. The beta, was a beta. There will always be problems in the final product, and if you 'love this game' so much already, then surely you'd be willing to wait. It's not gamebreaking, it just means you can't play online for a while. Still, lucky you. The rest of the world can't play it till Friday, so maybe just be happy that you've got anything to play at all.. | 2011-01-19 00:09:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Not exactly. A couple of my friends from around the world got their copies today as well. Including the one I play with in Europe. He's had it since a few hours after I got mine... and I was there for the midnight release in-store. He also didn't pay a butt-load for overnight shipping. Some companies ship the game ahead of time so it arrives on the earliest street release date instead of the one or two days that are behind. Unless you're talking about something completely different that isn't clear. Friday? | 2011-01-19 00:40:00 Author: FoxOfTwilight Posts: 4 |

Just so people know they are not alone, I am having exactly the same problem. Me and my friend are not getting any lag but I do get stuck at the loading screen and the loading bar does the same thing. | 2011-01-19 01:42:00 Author: Monster Posts: 180 |
Keep the good vibe guys !!!! When LBP was release. We all see some trouble here and there. But in the middle of all your frustration -comprehensible- ..... there's no reason to pick a fight between the members. No one here has the fault. We are here to discuss and maybe try to help. So.... please lets keep this nice. apologies for bad english | 2011-01-19 02:55:00 Author: Duckywolf Posts: 198 |
yeah Im sure whatever the problem is, it will be fixed soon. | 2011-01-19 03:14:00 Author: Monster Posts: 180 |

I was just looking to see if it was a known issue, if anyone else experienced it, and if it was maybe being worked on or whatnot. And if it wasn't known about or it wasn't happening to anyone else, perhaps a way to fix it or bring it to someone's attention. | 2011-01-19 03:43:00 Author: FoxOfTwilight Posts: 4 |
Wanna say I'm having the same problem. Wondering if the "don't load profile til pod" fix from the other thread might help. | 2011-01-19 03:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
I had this happen to me, but my experience was even better: I got stuck at the loading screen for a minute or two so I decided to quit through the XMB, I do so then come back to the game (At this point I had gotten to Avalonia in the story mode.) for some reason, the game prompts me to choose an LBP1 profile to import, as it did when I first started up the game. I have to choose one, so I choose the one I chose the first time. So then it goes to the intro, I skip that, and then it brings me to the introduction level. At this point I realized something wasn't right. So I'm forced to play through the introduction level again. Finally, I get back to my pod, and what happened? Well, all my progress was gone and the only LBP2 thing it had remembered was how my planet looked. (Why? I don't know...) So now I'm back at the very first boss, and I have to replay everything all over again, get all the prize bubbles I got, and get back all the pins. :/ I have no idea why this happened. (I'm going to guess that the game didn't save anything for some random reason.) Yeah, I can get all my stuff back, and I am going to, but this shouldn't have even happened anyways. :/ | 2011-01-19 04:27:00 Author: Kog Posts: 2358 |
Nobdy should worry about this, the internet is the first place people go to cry about stuff. The vast majority are enjoying this game immensely. | 2011-01-19 04:33:00 Author: Jrange378 Posts: 573 |
My friend actually told me that you can fix it by turning off your controller and then waiting for it to load and then once the level loads you will see a turn on the controller pop up or something.... It worked for me. | 2011-01-19 04:35:00 Author: Serpent541 Posts: 83 |
Nobdy should worry about this, the internet is the first place people go to cry about stuff. The vast majority are enjoying this game immensely. So, because you yourself haven't experienced the same bug, nobody should care about it? Ah. I see your logic there. | 2011-01-19 04:38:00 Author: Kog Posts: 2358 |
Games usually have server problems during the first giant wave of players in the first week or so. Just give it a while, Mm is not Infinity Ward, they actually care about their customers. >_> | 2011-01-19 05:13:00 Author: jEpiik Posts: 81 |
Yo, people, calm down. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. Yet this is a glitch from the beta, but there IS a work around for it. I can guarantee you it works as I've tried it in LBP 2 beta, and the actual LBP 2. When you're stuck on a loading screen, just turn off your controller, wait till it says "Press PS button to play" and there you go. You might have to do this often, probably after every level, but it's not that big of a deal and won't take too long. More than likely, this glitch will stop happening once LBP 2 dies down. I'm certain this kind of thing would have happened no matter when the game was released. Every popular game that has online is usually quite glitchy the first week or two since it's so busy. Edit: someone already DID mention the fix, so everyone look at that and this and no more angry feelings. It's completely understandable for a huge game like this with such a big online community. If it's really bothering you that much then you need to just stop playing and take a breather because there's nothing anyone can do about it at this point other than simply just turning off your controller and turning it back on. It'll fix itself in time, promise. | 2011-01-19 08:58:00 Author: crazysky108 Posts: 19 |
Look, the game just released, LBP1 had Problems, LBP2 has problems, as long as they get fixed in the upcoming days/ weeks like in BP1, its not a huuuge deal. Also, loading screen only last a long while most of the times, no need to reset or kick about 90% of the time. | 2011-01-19 10:17:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
The Multi player Mode is a fail. I got LBP2 yesterday morning, and I haven't been able to play a full game in multi player mode. And my Loading screen takes anywhere between 10 to 15mins to clear!!! | 2011-01-19 16:35:00 Author: LiTTle_Orang8e Posts: 3 |
Like i mentioned before. You dont need to wait for a patch since you can fix it yourself. All you have to do is turn your controller off, let it load into the level, then turn it back on. | 2011-01-19 18:08:00 Author: Serpent541 Posts: 83 |
I deleted my profile and started a new game not loading lbp1 profile until the pod. I was able to play through 3 zones (around a dozen levels) with 2 other players. Sometimes one of us would freeze for half a level. I'm not sure if the turn off controller fix does anything. | 2011-01-19 19:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
Don't foget guys, LBP2 same as LBP1 been, is and will be P2P game, which means you connecting directly host player console and pne off you got crapy connection of routing between you too is not much good you will surly suffer lag. But n other hand "screen when lag" thingy was been added in 1.02 beta as some kind of feature (at least i had that felling) and was really annoying, so for me this loading screen is unneeded thing game seems working on background just loading screen covering it | 2011-01-19 19:23:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
Remember, LBP2 is far less buggy than LBP1 was at launch. Remember the wheel o' death? I sure do. Besides, this bug only occurs if you are online, so you can just play offline to avoid the problems | 2011-01-19 19:28:00 Author: FlipMeister Posts: 631 |
