bluetooth headset problems

Archive: 4 posts

Hey everyone, I hope someone can help me with my mic problem. I got a PS3 bluetooth headset for my daughter who wishes to chat when she plays LBP. I paired it with the PS3 without a problem and I can hear my own voice when I go to the Audio Device Settings to adjust input/output device, no problem so far. But the mic stops working when she plays LBP (it stops working when we get out of the Audio Device Settings, but maybe it's suppose to do that?). The sackboy's mouth moves and reacts when she speaks into the mic, but no sound comes out and the friends she plays with all say they can't hear anything from her. Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong here? (PS3 system version is 3.55, the headset manual says it has to be at least 3.50 so no problem there either). It's not broke and yet it won't work. 2011-01-18 20:24:00

I have the exact same problem. I even tried plugging in a USB headset and it does the same thing.2011-01-29 15:48:00

You wont hear anything when in game because that is how headsets work. You can talk but you don't need to hear yourself.
The reason you have hear in audio settings is because that is a test environment.

As for why other people can't hear that may not be a problem on your end. If sackboys mouth is moving then the game is picking up the audio just fine. Although the voice chat functions on LBP aren't very good. Almost impossible to understand in some cases.

One piece of advice and this goes for voice functions in every game. check your NAT type, on anything but NAT 2 voice chat can be near impossible due to your network environment.
