http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e46/BassDeluxe5593/jagrevi-1.png From what I've seen, I'm convinced you've created a masterpiece. You should be proud of your work. Great work my friend it absolutely don't disappoint after a long wait! I agree with Gek, I'm really enjoying it. Must have put in about three hours by now! This is amazing What follows is an experiment of mine to change a profile into an open-world game. (Done in LBP 1) I just posted today (Monday Jan 17), so please let me know of any bugs you encounter if you choose to grace my levels with your presence. =) Hope you enjoy. http://lbp.me/v/rnq8n6 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/Teaser1.jpg?t=1261018782 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/APhoto_3.jpg?t=1266035166 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/APhoto_4.jpg?t=1266035193 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/Teaser2.jpg?t=1261018782 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/APhoto_5.jpg?t=1266035136 http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/driftglass/APhoto-1.jpg?t=1266035037 - Jagrevi http://lbp.me/v/http://lbp | 2011-01-17 19:29:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
I can't actually believe i'm seeing this! You've published it at last | 2011-01-17 19:47:00 Author: ladylyn1 Posts: 836 |
This is amazing BUG LIST: ?There's this eagle on The Ranch. You can corner jump over it. ? Holding down the rug in Legend of La Poloma Grande doesn't work. While displaying the last speech bubble in the conversation, the wooden door to the left did not open. When I went right to the King Of Adventures, he asked me to take a seat. ?On the ranch, if you run all the way to the left from the waterfall, you can see a floating speech bubble that normally appears during the day. You can also activate it. | 2011-01-17 19:58:00 Author: Testudini Posts: 3262 |
This is amazing BUG LIST: •There's this eagle on The Ranch. You can use the corner jump on the lock thing (Gears I believe they are called) to jump over it. First off, thanks for the compliment. There are still parts of it I didn't think were up to snuff, but I'm glad to hear the good feedback. Also, thanks for the bug report!! While there are several ways to get past the Eagle ... that's not suppose to be one of them. It's not game-breaking though, just a little exploit, so I won't feel to bad about that one. Last night the elevator kept breaking, and there was this one boss fight that ... had problems it took me a while to fix. | 2011-01-17 20:01:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

Oop, one more bug has been found. Just a warning to everyone - THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WAY OUT OF JAIL, lol So, factor that into the choices you make you naughty, naughty people. I'll get onto fixing that. =) | 2011-01-17 20:09:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
I'm the first to slay the serpent. I deserve a reward ! That's enough for now, I'm going to go watch the World Record stream. P.S. Where did the girl tell me to meet her? I was talking to some friends and missed what she said. | 2011-01-17 20:32:00 Author: Testudini Posts: 3262 |
P.S. Where did the girl tell me to meet her? I was talking to some friends and missed what she said. She should have said Lumines, but now that I think about it, let me make sure her dialogue is up to check. Anywho, Lumines is a big city on the other side of Gnoskin Pass. | 2011-01-17 20:34:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

It looks like no one has made it through the Pass yet. A bunch of people have gotten there, but no location on the other side has had anyone there yet. | 2011-01-17 21:00:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
It looks like no one has made it through the Pass yet. A bunch of people have gotten there, but no location on the other side has had anyone there yet. There's a reason, and that reason simply is: HOW DO YOU GET PAST? I'm thinking it has something to do with Perception Training... | 2011-01-17 21:05:00 Author: Testudini Posts: 3262 |

Oh dear... I wasn't supposed to be doing any playing today. Why have you done this to me? You inadvertantly goaded me into it in person in Seattle last Summer. P) | 2011-01-17 21:16:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

Ah, there we go, looks like someone finally made it through the pass =) | 2011-01-17 23:44:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Upgraded the navigator in the overworld. Entire game should now be beatable without ever HAVING to sail. | 2011-01-18 00:09:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
I liked the sailing, even if there were but a few locations. Anyway, what I mean to say is... this is so much fun! Some bugs: Haze I got stuck behind the stairs to the right of the platform with the purple vision guy. When I chose it wasn't my first time and I came back later, somehow the purple light was on, but the guy wasn't there. The elevator broke on me a few times, especially when I didn't let go of the lever, I think. The boy whose dart gun was stolen seems a little loose. Piston not stiff? Last text box of Fish is censored. There's a hidden area that I'm not sure is supposed to be accessible, I sent you the details already. Perception Trainer Sometimes when I die I dont go to the score board but respawn at the beginning without paintinator and with the default camera in stead of the wide camera zone I had before. The Bizarre Lab og Dr. Tendo The simple test misspells INTERPRETIVE (this one's incredibly funny by the way ). Lumines When the frog gets arrested, two magic mouths are censored. Some npcs in the leftmost appartment building aren't glued down or anything. When I grap the *********** near the cat, it says PERCEPTION in the magic mouth, as if I had used the skill. Anyway, I really love the exploring and the jokes. I wish I could play on but it's waaaay past my bed time. | 2011-01-18 00:49:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Yeah,i'm the first to complete Port Town | 2011-01-18 02:31:00 Author: GEK83 Posts: 163 |
Yeah,i'm the first to complete Port Town Congrats! =) I need to fix a bug in that next level before you can continue down that strand though, unfortunately. I plan to get that make sure all the bugs get fixed over the next few days, not not to boot up LBP2 until I do. It's getting late here though, and I have some RL work to get done, so please forgive the temporary roadblock - the entire project is quite large, and it's hard to account for them all ahead of time with limited time. | 2011-01-18 03:59:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Oh schweet! I remember being wowed from this a looooong time ago. I'm off to play it right now. | 2011-01-18 04:07:00 Author: UmJammerSully Posts: 1097 |
You've done an amazing job bringing the RPG ethos to LBP here. Generally I have little patience for this type of genre, but I've opened up 9 or so levels and I'm quite smitten with it so far, it really does start to get addictive as you begin to get familiar with it all and slowly unravel stuff. I'll be straight back on it next time I boot up, which is a good sign...! Haven't come across any bugs as far as I can tell.....i'm looking forward to seeing how all this opens up, an hour or so in and there's 10 levels to unlock and a whole myriad of characters I've met who still need a good stickering...! | 2011-01-18 18:05:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |

Great to hear. Heads up though, there are a couple bugs relatively deep into the game that I still need to fix. I'll fix them this week, and definitely before I boot up LBP 2 and get distracted, but until I get done with my RL work and get around to doing some fixes, there are a couple roadblocks later on (They are marked with a specific message from me, so you'll know them when you find them). So, until I get around to making a few small fixes, consider everything before the roadblocks to be "Episode 1". Later this week, I'll get around to unblocking those parts, effectively opening up "Episode 2", and THEN I'll dive into LBP2. | 2011-01-18 20:36:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Oh man, how I have been looking forward to this! Haven't played that much yet, the serpent is really hard to kill xD Any tips? Anyhow, I'm really glad to see you finished this project Jagrevi, you truly are a man who stick to your goals | 2011-01-18 21:51:00 Author: Fredrik94 Posts: 342 |
Oh man, how I have been looking forward to this! Haven't played that much yet, the serpent is really hard to kill xD Any tips? Yeah, #1 - There's an Endurance trainer in Haze if you can find him. Upping that skill will get you more lives. #2 The Serpent's attack is periodic, but slightly shifted each time. Let's say the farthest point the attack can hit is 1, and the closest point the attack can hit (from the serpent) is -1. Well, the attack hits in a pattern similar to 1. (Sin 0 to Sin 1.8*Pi) 2. (Sin 0.2*Pi to Sin 2*Pi) 3. (Sin 0.4*Pi to Sin 2.2*Pi) 4. (Sin 0.6*Pi to Sin 2.4*Pi) and so on. Meaning, that the safest spot to stand, in each subsequent attack, moves up and down along the area where the Serpent breathes fire. So just keep track of where the serpent will breathe fire, and each time he finishes, move into the next safest spot, and shoot him in the face (mouth) as long as you can until it's no longer safe to stand there. Rinse, repeat. | 2011-01-19 10:20:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
I don't think those equasions will help many people, but I thought the pattern was visible enough, you just have to watch for a while. Coincidentally, I almost aced the level, but I was waiting for the "gift" and got myself killed messing around trying to get it (when I just had to walk back). This stuff is really cleverly set up. There are multiple ways to solve many problems, and some require platforming skills, others require puzzle solving. And then there are the moral options... Brilliant! | 2011-01-19 11:10:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Just a heads up - until I finish all the launch bugs (which shouldn't be too much longer), I'm going to be making the entrance level LBP-1-Only for the time being. I just found out about this option, and I want to make sure it is all running perfectly in LBP 1 before testing it's functionality in LBP 2. If you already started playing it in LBP 2, please feel free to continue to do so - but please keep an extra look out for any glitches that occur. Once the whole thing is up and running fine in LBP 1 and someone has gotten all the way to the End Boss, then I'll start testing it's LBP 2 functionality. That's all. =) | 2011-01-19 19:00:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

I'm playing through some levels and this project is locked. Any particular reason, or am I just crazy? Anyway, I can't get in, which is too bad because this looks like fun! | 2011-01-21 00:45:00 Author: Ryhas Posts: 179 |

The entrance level should be unlocked, unless you're trying to play them in LBP 2. If you're running off the LBP 1 disc, the entrance level should read (The Ama Toor Project). It will unlock the tutorial, and then on from there. | 2011-01-21 01:10:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

Ok,let's start Jagrevi first thing, many times you said even too generous words about my levels, i'm glad that i can play your creation Second thing, remind that my english is horrible, sorry in advance Played. Played A LOT. This is probably the most important thing to say. Imho the best and most rare quality of Ama Toor is that you feel to play a Game. Not a LBP level that you can drop in any moment if you get bored and just try the next. The feeling is to play a true rpg, waiting to continue the adventure(lol i think that i'm still the only arrived at the locked event) i played many many times the world map just to be sure to have unlock all the locations,i'm still running around in the Capital to see if i missed something, i'm still thinking that i've still something to do in Haze. I like the story but at the moment my favourite things are the locations full of npc (i loved the royal palace specially,so many touch of class) and how you mix in your dialogues story/info with nice moments of humour,it remind me Discworld... ****,i want buy the book of the cat! It's all? No. Variety. The levels i played have a lot of it. Is impressive, not because you end up in many different situations (that is cool) but because it don't seem a forced thing, all follow the flow of the story. Bugs? No,i have'nt seen bugs There are some parts where you must suicide(begin of Haze,is possible get stuck behind the stone stairs),but is not that bad. Another thing is that if you make a mistake morphing the gears(for example bomb instead jumper) you have to restart. I like it,if you make an infinite respawn of gears will be an error. But maybe make more clear (text?) that gears are really precious and should be used carefully Great work my friend it absolutely don't disappoint after a long wait! | 2011-01-21 03:08:00 Author: GEK83 Posts: 163 |
To break into the bosses house in Luminees - is it via 2nd floor or third?? I dont want to know how as i want to work it all out, but if it's third floor via a rope bridge, maybe double check the entrance is working..... I'm progressing slowly, was stumped for a while till I had a facepalm moment in Port. I agree with Gek, I'm really enjoying it. Must have put in about three hours by now! | 2011-01-21 03:15:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |

There is more than one way in, 3 that I can think of. None of them enter on the top floor, but the rope bridge might still be useful if combined with something. | 2011-01-21 03:56:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

Jagrevi!! I didn't think I'd ever see this project published! Wow........ Well done Sir! I will be adding this to my queue and playing it ASAP How long ago did you start this project? Just curious | 2011-01-21 18:30:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |
Wow!!!!! I been out of LBP long ago. But this is the perfect reason to go and play again before i get my LBP2 copy. I waited a long time to dive into your world. And later I mention my experience. How long ago did you start this project? Just curious Whichever day LBP 1 was released. | 2011-01-21 18:53:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Oh dear, I've been waiting 2 years to play this and now I can't because you've locked them and I have the key bug. I can never understand people locking levels when they know full well about this bug. Anyone like me who's been eager to see this series is going to play them in the right order anyway, we're not stupid. Locking them doesn't benefit anyone!? | 2011-01-22 11:57:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
Locking them doesn't benefit anyone!? I'm sorry for the inconvenience, really, but it might be kind of confusing without it, due to its structure. You could always just play it on a newly created profile, no? Otherwise, I'd have to try to leave complex mid-level announcements for various non-sequential levels that you can now access that people would probably have to write down as a ever-increasing note - plus some people would just exploit the whole system and get straight to the end, low-rate the levels as making no sense, being uncompleteable without things from previous levels, and get create-mode prizes without having actually played through the game properly. This isn't like a series of level with sequential order, it's a bit more complex than that. Not that I'm saying people wouldn't be able to keep notes on pen and paper on which of the levels they've gained access to and which ones they haven't, but really ... how many people would? Half, being optimistic? "You can now go to levels A-1, B-7, and C-4 if you got item X in level D-1, or C-5 first instead of C-4 if you didn't, remember to add that to your list and forget that I mentioned item X exists if you didn't previously know about it." It would be a mess. | 2011-01-22 14:21:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Hey Jagrevi, My experience so far with Ama Tour has been great. It's almost a little overwhelming in the beginning, but once you talk to enough people and start to learn the mechanics of the RPG itself, it's really quite a refreshing experience. I love how the levels are set up as locations rather than sequels to the preceding levels (hence the reason I understand you need level keys!). The sailboat was frustrating at first, but after a few deaths I finally got the hang of it. You successfully created a top down level in LBP1, and it looks great! The buildings and cities on the over world are really clever. The way you 'open' up the cities (locations) is genius. To give you an indication of how far I am into the story, I've played about an hour and have opened up about 9 level patches. Some of your challenges are just that: challenging! I've yet to master a couple of them, but at least I can say I made it to the top 10 on the scoreboards (at the time). It's funny that my score still wasn't good enough, but I'll keep trying. You're lucky those levels are addictive I suppose I'm not quite far enough into the story to really grasp what's going on, but I'm sure that will come soon enough. I'm particularly impressed with the innovative game design that you put into this. Let me be more specific: First person shooting; Top down level (world map); amazing cut scenes; brilliant looking designs (I loved the materials that you chose for the train); a leveling and ability sticker system; etc. I can tell you put a lot of sweat and tears into Ama Tour, but I have to say, all the effort has paid off in a big way. Just for your interest, I decided to pop in LBP1 to play Ama Tour because I know at the moment that's where you're doing the bug fixing. Unfortunately I will not be able to continue playing Ama Tour for at least a few days because I got the YLOD today. When I get my PS3 running again, I may start over and play Ama Tour through LBP2. When I do that, I'll take note of any bugs I notice. From what I've seen, I'm convinced you've created a masterpiece. You should be proud of your work. | 2011-01-23 04:09:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |
From what I've seen, I'm convinced you've created a masterpiece. You should be proud of your work. =) Glad to hear people are enjoying it. I got the YLOD today. Oooow, sorry to hear that, though, that's never good =( | 2011-01-23 04:31:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Well, unfortunately, I just got swamped out of nowhere - so it's going to take me a little while longer to finish those fixes - but it is high on my priority list to get them all going. I'm not going to start diving into LBP 2 until I do. | 2011-01-23 17:40:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
I hope you dove into LBP2 after all, I wouldn't want keeping you out of enjoying it on my conscience. But anyway... any news? | 2011-02-28 14:15:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
perception training is broken, after I get all 3 bubbles It drps you down to a piece of dark matter and left of it is a blocked off room with a ghost. Gnoskin Pass on-top-of-"mountain"-thingy is bugged too. | 2015-11-06 09:30:00 Author: jimydog000 Posts: 813 |

Posting this way too late but I got into one of the conclusion levels. Some characters were turned to stone and the only way to get out was to give milk to Kevan the fairy. Such a good worldbuild, hopefully it continues... some way. | 2016-03-14 07:57:00 Author: jimydog000 Posts: 813 |
