I can't publish a level..

Archive: 11 posts

Anytime I try it says "your level couldn't be published, try again later.". I thought it was because of LBP2 servers going live but levels are still being published. Argh...I was about to publish a level I've being working on for 5 months too!
(The level in question is from LBP1, not the LBP2 beta.)

Your trying to publish for the lbp2 beta right, if so the servers are closed, it means that levels that are created in the beta are offline and can't be transferred over either, it's a bummer after creating a level for 5 months to not be able to publish it. I suggest that you could document that level and recreate the level in the full game. I've got a tutorial on how to fully document the level in the signature eventually.

The above link is information regarding of the beta being closed, it is also a huge shame that none of levels and objects made with the beta wont be transferred to the full.

It's obviously not in the beta, the beta wasn't even open for 5 months.

Never mind then, well all I can say is that keep trying to publish the level some other time, the servers might be going through maitainence or something.

I'd say you're only option is to publish it at a low peak time. Other than that, i'm stumped.2011-01-16 21:49:00

Yup. You can't go on PSN if you aren't on most up-to-date firmware.2011-01-17 16:13:00

If I'm gunna be honest, the reason it took me that long was because I suck at making levels. Seriously, I was making the most basic of boss battles, & it took me like a month to perfect it. Also I used logic I had no experiance with so theres a whole ton of fustrating moments (I probably created loads of logic for something that didnt need a lot). But, considering how rubbish I am, I'm proud of what I came out with. Wether other people will I'm not so sure

Also, when I say 5 months I really mean 5 months from start to finish - I probably didn't do anything for 4 of the 5 months.
