Don't think this has been posted yet, but Gamespot has now reviewed LBP2, and given it a 9.0! Clicky (http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/action/littlebigplanet2/review.html) They had a few complaints, like confusing co-op and they also thought the tutorials wern't as "comprehensive" as they could have been.

I guess the tutorial is not as comprehensive because MM expected you to really get out more and try to learn from communities? It also seemed their criticism of the multilayer was kinda weird. I guess in their rush to make a review, they never stopped to think of just waiting for the people falling behind to catch up? Ah well, it really doesn't bother me that much and the average 9.0 reviews are great.

The video review included with the text review was a lot more comprehensive than the IGN video review. It goes over a lot more stuff and they don't blame the game for their lack of skill in create mode. It has spoilers, but it's a good review. At one point in the review, though, they say the Scuba Gear is a new power-up.. one misunderstanding in an otherwise very good review. P.S. I just reviewed a review! Now someone must review my review on the review

the anoying thing though is that they gave LBP 9.0 too and then at the end of the review of LBP2 told us why it was a lot better than the first. figure that one out

Is it me or is lbp2 getting lower scores than lbp1? 9.0 will never get you a game of the year... destructoid gave LBP1 8.5 and LBP2 7.5. the fix is in for Metacritic. what do you expect when a certain other console has very few exclusives this year?

I don't get why everyone looks at the 10 point rating scale the way they do. It's like, if I game is decent it gets a 7 through 8. And if it's good it gets a 9 maybe. What about the first 6 numbers? A decent game should get a 5. 5 is an alright score for a game in my mind. Why you people are whining over 9s is beyond me. That's fantastic.

we all know for sure that LBP2 is the same as LBP1 with improved lighting, better graphics and more bells and whistles. so how the hell can it score less than LBP1? that's the point You also have to remember that it's been two years so they expect more than what you gave. Plus, most game reviewers are idiots! Most sites: "Pay us and we'll give the game a higher score."
