LITTLEBIGPLANET 2 Problem

Archive: 15 posts

Okay so I got LBP2 yesterday, and I tried importing my goods from LBP 1. But my LBP had a copied save I got from the internet. (because my old save got corrupted and I didn't want to go through the pain of unlocking everything again) So it won't let me import my stuff from LBP 1. So is it possible to earn all those original content in LBP 2? Like what if you don't have LBP 1 in the first place, can you still get stuff from that game for LBP 2? like stickers/materials/costumes/ ect.2011-01-15 17:19:00

You will have to wait until I get the game I will give you my game save so you will have everything from LBP 12011-01-15 17:23:00

Hmmm... That's odd, because Tom (molecule) gave ChimpanzeePS3 a list of games that wouldn't work with backed up saves, and LBP2 wasn't on that list...

Also, I'm pretty sure you'd have everything you can't get via PSN store, but I could be wrong. After all SOME of use don't have the game yet.

I hope YOU enjoy the game before WE get it.

This sounds bad. My profile is copied too (not from the internet but from myself), and I can't earn trophies because of it. I was able to import all my lbp stuff into the beta though, so I'm not sure why it won't work now.2011-01-16 01:24:00

You can't earn Non-DLC LBP1 items on LBP2. You need LBP1 to get them. It's so Mm get money with LBP1 aswell as LBP2, or else there would be no point selling LBP1 anymore really2011-01-16 01:27:00

It didn't. There are leaks, contest and competition winners, reviewers, etc. There could be any number of reasons that someone may have gotten it early.2011-01-16 02:08:00

People reported similar problems during the beta. There should be some threads that answer this if you can find 'em.2011-01-16 02:55:00

Yea this happened to me once in the BETA. I just imported again. If you get to the screen where it says upgrading profile it should be working. I had to do it a few times but it eventually worked. Hope this can help you.2011-01-16 03:04:00

This actually makes sense, so that someone can't import a save file from the internet to get all the materials from LBP1 (they'd never need to own the game). Too bad, really, for those of you who didn't get all the stuff the first time around.2011-01-16 03:45:00

my brother doesnt have a copied save and got his original stuff. I originally unlocked everything in LBP 1 but my save got corrupted so I got a copied save file and it won't transfer to LBP 2. But I guess comphermc is right, it prevents people who didnt own LBP 1 to import stolen stuff.

Gahh looks like ill have to play LBP 1 all over again v_v or wait for a save on LBP 2 to come out
