Just made this thread to see what you guys think about this ... Those of you guys who are from the UK probally already know that we are getting the game on the 21st... Quite a shameful act on MM's behalf tbh... Considering they are a UK based company (18th in USA) I believe. But that isn't what annoys me (Unless we end up missing Week 1 shirts some-how) what gets me is, this http://www.game.co.uk/PS3/Platform/~r352999/LittleBigPlanet-2-Collectors-Edition/ The LOUSY Collector's edition... It is a disgrace , the USA get the full deal. Book ends, a plushie sackboy and a few extra costumes we miss out on them and to make matters worse I heard on another forum that it ends up being cheaper for the USA... It is quite simply ridiculous... I rest my case

Yeah... alas, we get the bum deal Collectors Edition in Australia too. So you're not alone. Maybe the Commonwealth stepped in and made some demands that ticked Sony off? Anyhow, things always cost more for you and us than they do in the US. May as well just learn to live with that reality.

agreed.i dont really care getting the game 2 or 3 days after the usa,what annoys me is when we are denied dlc with no reason. like the festive kit where was it? makes me wonder what else are we going to miss out on. maybe the astronaught? the ce was a knife in the back,mm sold out.

Honestly? I couldn't care less. I'm buying LBP2 for the game, not for the fancy extras. Oh, and I'm getting tired of saying this, but: Mm don't pick release dates or CE's, that be Sony's choice.

The collectors edition does suck, but the distribution isn't MM's fault - Sony is an American company, and it's Sony who decide when and where the game is distributed.

I think I lost it back there. Yes. Yes, I'm fairly certain I did. What I'm trying to say is, Media Molecule has NOTHING to say about how and when LittleBigPlanet 2 is sold. If Sony decides to sell LBP2 for 10 cents and a lollypop for only two hours every other month in a small shops, of which the location changes every time... well... MM could complain! But they couldn't do anything about it. And it's not just Sony either! For so long, games have released on Fridays that it's ingrained in the whole business of things. It's only the HUGE!!!!!111! games that can do world-wide, same-day releases because it's expected, sort of. EDIT: Yes, the Collector's Edition is fairly poor for EUROPE AND NOT JUST THE UK YOU SELFISH LITTLE... Actually, be glad you're GETTING ONE. Look just a little bit to the east. See that lovely country of legal prostitution, soft drugs and wooden shoes? Yeah. We're not getting one. Also. I just noticed a lot of people already mentioned the whole "It's not MM's fault" thing. EDIT AGAIN: I should probably just delete this post and save myself the Infringement, but honestly people. You don't give me a migraine; I don't have to rant and rave and foam at the mouth; the moderators don't have to give me a warning/infringement. =/

But whatever , tbh I don't care about the DLC it is the FACT that MM is Uk based, true that sony own them now but they still have a mostly UK team and should publish in UK first. And like the post of mine above said, it's not UP TO MEDIA MOLECULE. It's up to Sony! Who adheres to the age old release schedule of US gets it on Tuesdays, the rest of the world later.

It's not even Sony that determines the release date. It's the entire industry. For the most part, UK games release on Friday. US games release on Tuesday.

Actually the Australian C.E is even better than the U.K one. We get 11 costumes as opposed to only 7 and plus we get a 7' Sackboy plushie... Sucks for the U.K when the game was made there and they get shafted. Haven't seen what the Americans get yet... Maybe I shouldn't.

I have multiple PSN's in different regions and unless the item is exclusive (like the Druid was for a week in Japan) it won't be region locked. My crown & bug blaster go straight into my pop it. If any of the CE stuff is available on the region's store at some point, it should play anywhere. If any of those things are amazon-exclusive it might not be, but like the God of War and Nariko stuff, it will be sooner or later.

Honestly? I couldn't care less. I'm buying LBP2 for the game, not for the fancy extras. I'm also buying LBP2 for the game... ...but I'm buying the collectors edition for the fancy extras. So yeah, it does irritate me that other countries get fancier extras for a lower price. I'm sure multinational companies look at us and think "rich and stupid British...let's fleece 'em for all they've got".

People, it's 4 days. I can understand when the US get's it a couple of months or so, but seriously? Besides, I'm quite happy it's on a Firday, I don't have to worry about school as much, which means more LBP2! Plus if you're lucky, you might get the pre-order early.

And BTW! People.... You can all say "It's just a game, at least you get to play it n00b, haxorz" But for those of us , who ordered the CE, we have a right to be out raged because the whole point of a CE is for COLLECTABLES, there is nothing collectable in the UK/EU version just some DLC, and chances are they will release it in the PSN store a few months later anyway.

You are all not alone. I hate hate hate HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE games being released in the UK AFTER America!! Last year, I pre-ordered Kirby's Epic Yarn on the Wii, and thought it would have tided me over until LBP2. In October, it was released in Japan. A few days later, the US got it. The UK? NO. Instead, we were all spat on, poked at and LAUGHED at. Our release date was late Feburary! WHY? Why must we be treated like dirt?! IT'S NOT FAIR! The UK and Europe are as equal as you are, but not like this. I hope Nintendo learns that this stupid behaviour premotes piracy and importing, and IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.
