"Protected" Costumes

Archive: 13 posts

So protected costume, what a preposterous name I hear you cry, what could It possible mean? Well you save your costume and then by pressing square can select whether it is protected or not, by which I mean you are unaffected by the paintball splats and bomb blast dirt, which I find rather annoying especially when they remove the stickers used on the copstume forcing you to reload the costume. So any thoughts?2011-01-14 15:00:00

Hmm, that definitely would be helpfu and ik this is sorta the opposite but I'd also like to save costumes that's got bomb dirt and paint on them. Sometimes when I get some paint, I think to myself, "Hey, that looks awesome" but when I save it paint doesn't show up and same for bomb dirt. I know, first of all, it's not even close to top priority plus I can use the same stickers that comes from the paint and dirt from the bombs but if it isn't too hard, it'd be a nice little touch, as random of an idea it is2011-01-14 15:16:00

Just save the thing and load it up. That's what everybody does and it's only a few clicks.

I hope they don't do this ever. That's what paintballs are for.2011-01-14 16:56:00

I hope they make it so it checks your current costume against the one you just loaded, and reapplys the selected costume if it differs, upon spawning each time.2011-01-14 17:58:00

It really would be great for people who create clothing with stickers.2011-01-14 19:07:00

When I saw this thread name, I was like "Hmmm.. I wonder what this is...." I was hoping it was a suggestion for having something similar to a locked sticker, where if you equipped a costume on a sackbot, or even just created and saved a costume, then you would have the option of people being able to edit the sackbot's costume or not, but I guess this is good too.... Although, as noted by Kitkasumass, that is the purpose of paintballs and dirt smudges, after all, if you like the costume so much, you would save it, correct?2011-01-14 22:32:00

I think this would be a very acceptable solution.
Some costumes look terrible when they have no stickers.

I really like the idea from asbestos101. That way you would still have paintballs and dirt smudges b ut if you respawn you would come out with your saved costume instead of your costume with no stickers. This would be a sweet addition, but will it ever happen?2011-01-15 02:20:00

I am the kind of guy who's game revolves around costumes, so this would be a great addition. To me.2011-01-15 02:46:00
