I've been messed around with simple levels and even a mini-game (shooting gallery), but I felt like I needed to do something.....something big before LBP2 is released, so as to leave one final mark on this game before moving onwards. Basically, the thing's simple: A castle is looming over you at the start, and your goal, simple enough, is to reach the top and defeat the evil king who rules inside. The problem with getting there though, is that each of the "floors" you must climb to get to your goal is infused with a single element, transforming the floor to ward off intruders (aka you). One floor could be sporting flaming-hot coals, steam vents and fire-breathing enemies, while the next could be almost like a freezer room, icey, slippery and covered in spikes and what-not. There are 10 floors period, each more dangerous than the last, and at the top awaits the evil king. He'll be a tough baddy to defeat, but once beaten, you'll have freed the castle and the nearby lands from his evil rein. So, how will this work, you're probably asking? To put it simply, i'll set up the base for the rest to use, and then I shall hand it to the first person on a list, who will build his/her floor based off of a single element (which they'll say which one when signing up for this). Then, when they finish (or a period of 2-3 days passes, whichever comes first), they'll hand their copy to the next guy, who'll do the same and then so on and so forth up to the last part. When the last person finishes, they'll hand it to me, and then i'll add the finishing touches (adding evil king at the top, credits at the beginning, plot, ect., ect.). After that, i'll simply publish it for the whole LBP community to play, as a final group project before the insanity of LBP2 begins. So yeah, if ya wanna help out, sign up here. 10 spots are open, so there's a good chance you can join as long as the list has a spot availible. When signing up, say what element you'll do for your floor, and when you'll be able to do your part of this (so I can order it properly to fit everybody's schedules). Oh, and make sure you can be able to stick with it long enough to complete your part, or else you'll be skipped. Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to let you guys know that the base for the project is finish'd. It's simply a base floor to set the mood, no fancy platforming or any of that stuff. So yeah, it's good and ready to be used. Once people do sign up, i'll give it to the first person on the list so they can get straight to work, ok? Anyways, I hope that at least somebody does indeed help out with this, since I don't want the effort I put into this so far to go to waste. ;_;
