Sephiroth in LBP2?

while going to grabswitch.com to check the newest news from one of our own LBPCers I came across the article about LBP2 sponsoring FIVE (UK channel)..."cool" i thought...saw there were adverts that they added in as well "very nice" I thought...now THIS is where things get...heart pumping

Good find! Those are "Sephy's" trousers. Maybe he'll come with an expansion like Snake... People, brainstorm now!

trust me they are...google sephiroth costume and look at all the pics (including ingame ones that Mm have) and you'll see THOSE ARE THE PANTS

but obviously Mm would have them...thing is if it's in their adverts does that mean they're hinting to us that we'll get him? GOD i hope so...he's one of the reasons I got LBP in the first place...aside from the awesomeness that it already was before release 		2011-01-12 19:38:00

Yeah, but you can tell that's not the KH version, 'cause he hasn't got the big left wing. I don't want to get my hopes up. Plus if it WAS a KH pack, then they would have included the more important characters, because Sephiroth isn't very prominent in KH.

If they start doing a Final Fantasy pack, I hope they treat it like the Marvel packs. Have multiple costume packs. Because FF does have a lot of characters to add. Or they could do a Dissidia pack and just have some of the main guys.2011-01-12 19:58:00

Final Fantasy VII would be too specific, in my opinion.

If it were up to me, I'd pick iconic characters from as many Final Fantasies I could.

Some examples:
Garland from FF1
(Never played 2 and 3)
Cecil from FF4
(Never played 5)
Celes or Kefka from 6
Naturally Sephiroth from 7
Probably Squall from 8
Vivi, of course, from 9
Auron (as if there could be anybody else...) from 10 (I'd accept Seymour as well...)

As somebody else mentioned, it'd be like Dissidia. Except NOT limited to the characters from Dissidia.

Of course, you'd probably want good guys and bad guys from all those games, so it'd be a BIG pack. Or multiple packs, like they did with Marvel.		2011-01-12 22:04:00

I think my mind would explode if a Final Fantasy pack came out. More RPG elements would rock. I've actually been pretty successful at remaking FF characters in LBP1 though. Sora's a different story. His big shoes and spikey hair are beyond LBP spike decorations. And the keyblade is a tad difficult to create too.

Yet again, they could just be re-using parts of unused costumes for random original costumes or for costumes of different packs, so I wouldn't be hoping for this 100% either, its a good sign, but not an assurance.

(Besides, its just in a promo/ commerecial, and shown extremely briefly, I wouldn't take that as a sign of anything, m8.)

ACTUALLY if you look closely at the pic you can tell the second belt is in there...you just need to focus on it...I'll post the ingame pic with SNAKE so you can see it:

I still won't rule out the possibility that Mm could have had some control over these videos...only because there were some videos we thought SONY did and found out they didn't to much or had nothing to do with it...like that TEEBONESY video

exactly...they're the pants...of course they wouldn't put something so obvious for us to see...like I said...it could be a hint for us who always look for details in these videos like we always do when we discover LBP2 costumes and other things.

and it doesn't seem to be so generic and missable when the only reason I found out was because of the youtube comments...people knew...and I found out by them pointing it out...which lead me to google sephiroth's sackboy and saw the 100% similarities.

In the end THOSE ARE SEPHIROTH'S PANTS...and they are in a video being displayed...the only thing we don't know is whether or not it's intentional or not...but i like to believe so...since Mm knows LBPC a bit...

in the end Sephiroth IS coming...my question really is more of a WHEN...which I think it'll be when LBP2 gets the expected sales we all KNOW it'll get...with enough money to be able to pay squeenix for the pack		2011-01-13 06:50:00

tbh I don't think Mm would forget something like that...they're not ones to leak info...well not a lot anyways...still i dont think theyd make that mistake...and since another video shows the LBP2 T-Shirt (youtube the forest gump one and you'll see) i'm even more convinced that it was intentional

as for the RPG PACK thing...spidey thought that because Mm answered sacktastic's question about a DLC that will double create mode possibilities and saw my thread here he put 2+2 and thinks that an FF/Square enix pack with a big gameplay change would be coming

Well duh, I know it's not a 'KH thing' - I'm not that uneducated on the subject of Final Fantasy. What I meant was, we can rule out the possibility that it's in a KH pack because that costume doesn't have the single wing - In KH, he has the wing (and I know that in some Final Fantasy games he does as well). There was a VERY small chance of any KH costumes anyways, though, so I didn't get my hopes up.

Anyways, look, we all know we're gonna get Sephiroth eventually - Mm said it themselves. They may have not said when, but they said we would. I honestly don't mind waiting for it, Sephiroth isn't exactly my favorite FF/Square character...		2011-01-13 08:35:00

Honestly it's true this could mean a clue we are getting the costume,
but it's also true that MM could have just used it with out noticing, would not be the first time.
and i do hope they are planing a RPG kit, I'm sick and tired of all this Disney junk they keep giving us lately,
i want interesting different stuff, that be useful and fun,
And Sephiroth no matter what villain from FFs you guys prefer,
Sephiroth is the most popular 1 no matter what, he is in general the fans and the makers favorite,
same as with Cloud. and in my opinion FF7 was the best FF,
plus in my opinion all the villains sucked after FF7, only FFs i like so far were,
FF7, FF9... tho FF9's villain sucked, and FF tactics...tho can't remember much about its story...
the game play was the best part about it for me, but that's the thing,
no matter what one i like or anyone else there is no best FF or character,
as anyone has their on opinion, tho at that same time FF7 is the best one
by mass opinion no matter what anyone would like to believe it to be overrated or not,
just like how a Lot of people liked FF10, but i found it to be one of the worst.
to them FF10 was the best, to me? not so much,
but anyways in my and in most FF fan's opinion, Sephiroth is the best, his design mainly,
also his personally and back story, in my opinion FF7 had one of the best written stories,
tho i hear FF6 and FF2 had the best from what i heard, but I've yet to play them.
but all i played after FF7 besides FF9 seem to have no work put in to the stories at all,
nor the character designs, plus they had hardly any mini games like FF7 did. that's just weak i say, *mew

Anyways back to the point, Yeah I'd love a RPG kit with FF costumes or whatever,
but it's true best to wait and see,
tho i honestly don't get why they just don't do it already, as Sony owns MM now anyways,
i would think that would make it cheaper! YoOhooOho~

PS: i also only found KH1 good. only seen the first 2 but i found the 2nd to have a horrible story,
hope they do better in KH3, less cheap gimmicks and a better written story i hope. *mew

PSS: that may have sounded like I'm a FF7 fan-boy but really my point was,
there's no counting when it comes to things that we believe to be true or not, when it's just an opinion.

@fumetsusozo - the problem with the "overrated" bit is that most people who like sephiroth and FF7 are not interested in the story at all or the in-depth character development of sephiroth...they just care that cloud and sephiroth are "sexy"

and as for opinions...Final Fantasy Tactics was the best FF game currently

FF7 was also a great one, FF8 will always be my favorite, and FF9 was not so great, and FF6 is basically the REAL fan favorite...like i said most FF7 "fans" are really just interested in cloud and "sephi" cuz they're "sexy"...but in FF6 people saw kefka in-depth and understood kefka as the best villain in FF6 because people actually took the time to get to know him and understand his motives and such...he wasn't "sexy" or anything like that lol

but yeah in the end it really doesn't matter which one is the best...but tbh the only ones that should MATTER are the first ones until 9...which was the last decent FF game before things got gimmicky and such.

anyways that's my 2 cents about it.

tbh I don't think Mm would forget something like that...they're not ones to leak info...well not a lot anyways...still i dont think theyd make that mistake...and since another video shows the LBP2 T-Shirt (youtube the forest gump one and you'll see) i'm even more convinced that it was intentional
They made the mistake to send a profile with some un-released DLC to a LBP player, so they could obviously make that mistake and use Sephiroth's pants in the video.
And we don't know if that is the week 1 shirt, it's just speculations until Mm have confirmed/announced it.

I just want a FF costume pack that includes the classic black mage. I am tired of my witch having to wear a black sombrero. WHY was there no witch hat in the game, or the Monster pack for that matter? ...a bit off topic but still relevant.

I'm not deeply into Final Fantasy, I have only played the first four, and only beat the first two, but I can see the appeal the characters would bring to LBP.. or at least their hair.

I just hope they bring some kind of exciting new features with them. I don't see them having any great game changers, but more "inators" ...I see a sword power up, or an extra health power up ( to mimic HP ) ...Maybe even a random encounter program ( although that's already managable, if you are clever with the teleporting trick and randomizers maybe? Basically what hyliaman said. I'm an on and off FF player who's played the entire main series (save for 14) but I don't value it all that much. The only ones that really did anything for me were 5, 6 and the remakes of 1. The rest I found anywhere between enjoyable and horrible, and there isn't a single FF character I like all that much. I think the characters could introduce loads more costume opportunities though, so long as they pick the right ones. I would personally go for Vivi and Balthier first and foremost, if only to finally have a wizard hat and gun weapon.

As for gameplay, who knows what they could do? I think it would be very appropriate to introduce more options for RPG elements, like objects that can store variables along with tools that can perform math functions with them. Maybe they could even implement a flexible dialogue box tool that allows you to make the windows, face graphics, and fonts yourself; with the option to make all physics pause while a box is on screen. I'd buy that without hesitation since displaying text takes a ton of time and thermo unless you resort to ugly speech bubbles or notes.		2011-02-20 12:45:00

I agree too that the ladies should have more costumes in general, especially some decent shoes and hats. There were lots of great new costumes in LBP2 story mode and definitely a few more for the ladies than in LBP1 but it would be better if thy had some more 'normal' clothes I think.

As for FF costumes we really must have a Moogle too. That is just made for a sackboy costume! I know we could make a passable copy of one but an official one would be so much better. Well, I'm not into the games, but gotta love the costumes and ripping parts from them and making your own into new adventuresome, science-y, or pirate sackpeople.
