Moving to Australia
Archive: 38 posts
I've always had the dream of seeing other places, especially Australia. I was originally planning to just visit there when I was old enough, but now I plan to move there asap. What prompted this change in thought? Well, today, at school, people were flying the Confederate flag. Then, the African Americans retaliated by shouting Gobama! There were several fist fights, luckily no one had a gun. >_< I feel like I'm in the middle of the new Civil War/Apocalypse. I thought about how I should get out and where I should go, and the first place that came to my mind was Australia. I plan to move there as soon as I finish college/maybe high school, so I'll be joining you Aussies soon enough! | 2008-11-07 21:00:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
I'll be moving to Europe after I get to and out of college as I get to go to Northeastern University at no cost, you can't beat that! | 2008-11-07 21:04:00 Author: Unknown User |
"Wut" ^ That was my expression when I saw the title. I thought you were moving to Australia in a few days or something <_< As to be actually on topic, Nice. :x | 2008-11-07 21:07:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |

I would move to Europe, but as history has taught me, Australia is much more peaceful than Europe, and much more beautiful. | 2008-11-07 21:07:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
If I were to move to the Australian Continent, then I would definitely go to New Zealand. http://cache.virtualtourist.com/3369064-Sheep_everywhere-New_Zealand.jpg :arg: | 2008-11-07 21:11:00 Author: Unknown User |
my aunt lives in sydney austraila. Austrailia is a cool place... yeah my school is have lots of fights now..... its between the people who take (things to alter the mind and arent really apporpriate for the forum) and the jocks. its a bit to violent to explain on the forums though luckily like you no guns but there have been knives. i hate how people have to solve problems in violence. as a matter of fact there is no problem between the two groups | 2008-11-07 21:14:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
We did have a gun threat last year, but that was just a rumor, but they shut down school for it. | 2008-11-07 21:16:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
I say you just move out of the hood. I've never seen no gunfights like that where I live. Confederate flag and Gobama? That's some crazy stuff I would expect in a movie. | 2008-11-07 21:16:00 Author: ps3&me Posts: 21 |

I'm going into the police. Either that, or I'm gonna do an elaborate bank heist with a good freind of mine. The basics are outstandingly clever. We've got alot of it planned already | 2008-11-07 21:35:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |

How many months / years will it be man? | 2008-11-08 09:24:00 Author: Unknown User |
Lethal jellyfish shaped like a box. They're everywhere in Australia! This is absolute rubbish!! Box Jellyfish are only found in the northern tropical waters of Australia up around the great barrier reef and then only in summer time when the water is a certain temperature and then only in few places, it's not like they swarm the beaches. They are both considered as islands and along wit other pacific islands they together make up the continent of Australasia. | 2008-11-08 10:12:00 Author: muttjones Posts: 843 |
Also known as Oceania. Although I remember there being a slight difference in the usage of the two names... off to the Wikimobile!! I've been to both Australia and New Zealand, and my God both are amazing. I love Melbourne. Every five meters there's a restaurant. (yay) Oh, and you guys actually make Shawarma (you call them kababs there) better than Arabs themselves... how awesomely insulting. Both countries are amazing, but I think I prefer Australia just because of your kababs. >_> Oh... but New Zealand has Kiwis... fuzzum... | 2008-11-08 11:03:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |

Wow, that sounds bad, the only thing I've heard about in Australia is Xavier college (one kid getting seriously injured) and an incident from my friend in Sydney's school (on kid seriously injured). One was bullying, the other a retaliation to a bully they weren't expecting. if stuff like that is actually going on over there, it could be a good decision. PS. come to Melbourne, best city in Australia. Heaps of great suburbs around, especially in the west. | 2008-11-08 12:35:00 Author: Tomo009 Posts: 274 |
I'll make it clear, just so you know...I'll be waiting for you with open arms! And a grab switch wired to a cage filled with explosives and mudkip. -_- | 2008-11-08 12:51:00 Author: Stix489 Posts: 2080 |
Why not move to London then?! There's kebabs, Chinese, Tie, Italian, ect! But no, you want to live in the open Australia with none of our cool pollution. O_o I think I just had a stroke... | 2008-11-08 12:57:00 Author: TheArmedReaper Posts: 1543 |

When he woke up his friends took him home and put him to bed. He had concussion and swelling of the brain so he didnt wake up that morning. He played junior basketball for the same club I play for so every play from team of the club (from the under 8s to the under 20s) wore black tape armbands while playing yesterday in remembrance of the boy who died. | 2008-11-08 13:13:00 Author: muttjones Posts: 843 |

I'm sorry to hear that. Was that at a school? If so was it televised? I'm pretty sure It wasn't televised. And it was at a party. Apparently (not completely sure) the boy who did it has turned himself into the police. | 2008-11-08 14:26:00 Author: muttjones Posts: 843 |

I've been to both Australia and New Zealand, and my God both are amazing. I love Melbourne. Every five meters there's a restaurant. (yay) It's so true. Melbourne is the best place to live if you like to eat out. In towards the city there are so many great restaurants that it's hard to pick a place to eat sometimes. My girlfriend and I had some friends come down to visit from Sydney this year, and we spent the entire week eating at a different restaurant for each meal. It was fantastic. =P Oh, and you guys actually make Shawarma (you call them kababs there) better than Arabs themselves... how awesomely insulting. Mmm...kebabs. Did you try Haci's in Preston? I swear, it's the rattiest looking little place, but even at 3am, there's always a line. | 2008-11-08 15:23:00 Author: Yumpy Posts: 53 |

My girlfriend and I had some friends come down to visit from Sydney this year, and we spent the entire week eating at a different restaurant for each meal. Did you try Haci's in Preston? I swear, it's the rattiest looking little place, but even at 3am, there's always a line. I honestly can't remember the names of the places we ate at. I'm a Muslim by the way, and there still was no shortage of Halal-serving restaurants. xD Now there's an achievement. | 2008-11-08 15:56:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |
I honestly can't remember the names of the places we ate at. I'm a Muslim by the way, and there still was no shortage of Halal-serving restaurants. xD Now there's an achievement. Yep. It's always easy pretty easy to find good arabic food in Melbourne, especially in and around the city. Unfortunately for me, I live about an hour south in the white-trash suburbs, with nary a good restaurant to be found. It's all garbage down here, and the kebabs are decidely average at best. The only time I get to eat at the good places is when I drive up to the city to visit my girlfriend. The irony of course is that she's actually arabic, so when we go out for dinner it's usually to somewhere different like italian or japanese. | 2008-11-08 16:16:00 Author: Yumpy Posts: 53 |

Ahaha, you could always prioritize and put your belly first. =P Besides, your "average" kebabs are still way better than the junk we get here. And we're the Arabs. -__- Still, I've never enjoyed a country as much as I did Australia and New Zealand, those places were amazing fun. Even my father wants to go back there just to eat lunch. >_> When we went in the summer a few years back, we spent a total of 52 days there, and that's not including the twelve-odd hours of flight. >_< Gold Coast memories... | 2008-11-08 16:26:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |
Im happy in the UK thanks. I have thought about moving down under but the prospect of non-free healthcare in my state is too much to bear, but I will probably pop over in the Aus for some tea and scone sometime. | 2008-11-08 21:47:00 Author: floor3013 Posts: 287 |

Code, the sooner you realise there's bullcrap everywhere, the better. Of course Australia isn't perfect... but I really don't like where I live at all, the climate, the look, everything. :/ | 2008-11-09 01:04:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
