Archive: 11 posts

Ok so, for example could you have a sackbot have grabinators that are invisible, by placing them on it's chip for example?2011-01-11 19:49:00

No. Power-ups in no way can be invisible. And no you can't put them on chips. *mew2011-01-11 20:24:00

Quick one shot emit of power up with 0.1s lifetime when player is on the selected spot. Power-up will quickly flash but it wont be so noticeable, so it should do the trick. On beta people also used that trick to give power up to sackbots via logic by placing emitter inside sackbot2011-01-11 21:02:00

If you want a sackbot to shoot something, just use an emitter on the sackbots chip. If you want other powerups, use the technique Shadowriver explained. However, the powerups will still be visible on the sackbot.2011-01-12 00:34:00

Maybe, but as Shadowriver said, you just put an emitter on the sackbot's microchip which emits the powerup with a certain button, that way you can hollister and then bring out your paintinator again, that's quite dandy actually.2011-01-12 00:36:00

Slightly off topic, but if you have a sackbot walk through a creatinator station, for example, and then capture the sackbot with the creatinator still equipped, will the sackbot, when placed from your Captured Objects, still have that powerup equipped? Sorry if I explained this poorly..2011-01-12 00:42:00

Well if like LBP1 then if you capture the object you can resize with an emmiter, set lifetime to infinite and then capture, that's how people get tiny and hug powerups, checkpoints etc2011-01-12 12:48:00
