In New Zealand, LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out on the 20th, as it should, but the CE is only available ten days later. This has caused my dilemma. Do I wait ten extra days, losing ten days of creating time, meaning that I only have 5 or so days to play freely before I go back to school, or..... Do I get the regular version and buy all of the added DLC separately (If I can) Please, LBPC, give me advice on what to do.

Do I get the regular version and buy all of the added DLC separately (If I can) Hum actually I don't think those DLCs will be sold later... Aren't they exclusive to the Collector edition?? If so, that would be really cool,... and that would solve your dilemma! If not, well just ask yourself if those additionnal collector contents are worth the 10 days of wait for you... In my case, I didn't even took the time to order this CE,... I'll will just go buy the regular edition at the store near my place, the day of the release.

Buy the regular game first. I believe MM hinted that most of the DLC will be available later. Also, the CE comes out later than the release date in America as well? :SH:

The DLC will most likely become available later, however, in the long run it will probably be cheaper. Incidentally, why is the CE coming later? I live in Australia and accoring to the place I pre-ordered (JB HiFi), the CE comes out on the same day as the normal one (January 20th).

Yes, I know, I checked the Australian and NZ EB games websites to be sure it wasn't a glitch. Well, I think I'll just get the regular edition, and give up the Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter costumes. (I think those are the only exclusives.)

I think you could get the normal edition and then later on buy the extra content, it will probably come to the PS store.

Buy the normal edition then buy the CE when it's released. Never hurts to have extra copies, I've got about three copies of LBP1 lying around somewhere.

I assume EB Games in NZ would be exactly the same as EB here in Aus, if so, you can buy LBP2 (while waiting for your CE copy) play it as much as you want and as long as you don't break/damage it you can return it a week later (I think that's the maximum time) back to EB Games and get all your money back. It's dodgy, but then, EB is a dodgy place anyway. It happens all the time here, my brother worked at EB for a little over 2yrs and they had to return the full amount of money. Even if the customer specifically stated that they were returning the game because they finished it. More of an interesting fact than a viable option tbh though. Personally I'd just wait the ten days for the CE, speaking of which, I still need to order it, might do that tomorrow.

Time or Money. The ultimate if... Could buy LBP2 Regular, then trade it in & get LBP2 CE, Although you'll lose about $10 in trade in, but you'll reclaimm that via the $20 DLC

Trade back in, you say..... that may be an option. On another note, my family won't let me pre-order it, as EB games is too dodgy. We pre-ordered Black Ops and ended up paying well over the RRP.

I thought the CE was pre-order only? Meh, depends how much you want it. It doesn't look too great to be honest, I'm just getting the regular edition. It comes out the same day in the UK as well. 21st
