CGI animations by me and some AWESOME Santana
Archive: 8 posts
This is a bunch of un-obligated clips by me put to Santana's "Back in Black" - I Think I like this version even better that AC/DC's Original! Actually, the whole album is pretty incredible. Anyway, I've been Fighting with the green alien frog things for a while now, and I'm finally getting the skins and skeletons close to working properly. My poor little computer, though. I forget that it's just a humble PC, and not the Pixar rendering farm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0HgL99Sut0 | 2011-01-06 17:10:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |

Amazing! I wish i could do that kind of stuff | 2011-01-07 00:30:00 Author: Joshofsouls Posts: 1569 |
Headbanging green aliens FTW. The part with the computer panels is really trippy. It was very weird watching the rotating Squirrel Shield while simultaneously observing the rotating emblem in your avatar... That was very well done... ... As for the music, I'll just say that Santana should just stick to being an awesome guitar player. If the words "dope beat" emerge in a cover of an AC/DC song, there is something you are doing wrong. | 2011-01-07 00:47:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |

You may continue doing more of this kind of stuff, you have my approval tell us the techy stuff. What did you use to do this? | 2011-01-07 14:49:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
Well, I used Carrara Studios, By YAZ 3-D. My Copy is a little out-dated, since I decided to keep my apartment and electricity instead of paying a month's rent for the newer version. I'll update later for hair and volumetric liquid with physics. For now, I can fake it with formula deformations. Anyway, I used Magix Music maker for most of the post- comp and edit. Kind of an odd choice, I know, but I'm Familiar with the interface, and it allows me to work with video clips as if they are sound clips, which for me is a big advantage. The Slo-mo Sack person is actually just a morph between two LBP Screen-shots. I used Fanta-morph, A pack-in that comes with photo-impact. it is all over-sampled by a factor of about 4, which allows me to do no-loss slow motion, and Zooms in post. The Flashing windows at the end weren't originally part of my plan, They were just meant to be a time marker, but I grew to like them (and I was antsy to render), So I left them. | 2011-01-08 23:26:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |
Really like the animations. Some really good stuff ya got goin there! I actually prefer the original version of the song though. It sounded pretty cool, but then the voice made it sound kinda like a rap song. | 2011-01-09 02:03:00 Author: eagerneph Posts: 1536 |
