Has anyone ever noticed this in spongebob?

| In the newer episodes of spongebob, some of the characters that have obviously met before in the older episodes act like they dont know eachother in the newer episodes. Like Spongebob and Larry for example, I know they have met plenty of times in the older episodes but in a newer episode they see eachother at the store or something and as they are talking Larry says "Do i know you?" and then spongebob says "I dont think so" or something like that. And im pretty sure patrick met plankton b4 in some case but also they act like they didnt know eachother. Also Mr. Krabs and Mrs. Puff used to date and they also act like they didnt know eachother. I can probably tell you about 5 - 10 sites where you can watch any Nick shows (the sites show shows from a bunch of channels, not just Nick.) | Yeah, sadly this show has gone horribly downhill in the last couple of years. I haven't watched an episode in a long time now and I used to watch it several times everyday. For me, the show has really lost its luster. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the change of director but it seems from season 4 everything is just so over-exaggerated to the point where you almost want to pull your hair out. I actually felt kinda stupid watching some of the newer episodes because they made it so kid-like with bad humor. I enjoyed the earlier episodes where they had good storylines and the episodes were actually funny. Why they decided to go in this direction is a complete mystery to me and sadly it will probably prove to be a fatal move in the next years to come. In fact, I'm starting to notice a pattern with Nickolodeon shows. None of the popular series seem to make it past a decade without them losing their edge. EDIT: It's not really off-topic because we're considering the reasons for why these discrepancies appear in the newer episodes. | There's been a couple episodes worth watching (i sometimes watch a new spongebob if there's nothing on) but i can't remember them, and its not just the relationships between characters thats like this but endings too.
